I'm not ignorant with vehicles, but that seems very intimidating. i need to take it somewhere to get it done....I'm not comfortable doing it myself, i understand that it would be easy, but i have no puller, or any right tools where would i go to get another engine? would i need an 88, exact as the other one? or maybe buy another 88 or above for a work truck....there like below 2000..... man I'm freakin out
  6. i can do some stuff, but an engine is way too big of a project for me i wouldnt even know where to start, even to buy one for the right price, you know not getting ripped off and where to get it installed its a shame too, theres alot of $ invested in it, everything is new except the body and engine i dig my 92 so much.....i don't want to turn it into a work truck at all......but i think i have no choice :wall:

  10. why do you say that....thats a bigger truck and motor.....what its built weak or something?
  11. oh....yeah, i agree new trucks have no character and are assembled by monkeys and computers i still like the gladiator and the hurricane, my pic
  12. I hope you're joking... I can't wait for the death of the compass Theres a little fight to bring a "scrambler" to the table, but it wasn't included in the chrysler-fiat 5 year plan they released lately. (on a side note, if you haven't read that yet, you should http://www.allpar.com/corporate/chrysle ... -plan.html) They have a 'unibody pickup' in the works as a potential for 2011, under the 'Ram' lineup. Since they're a bunch of retards anyways; I could easily see somebody deciding it would sell better with 'Jeep' on the tailgate, if such a truck even featured something that one could actually call a tailgate (I have visions of a complicated 3-piece design consisting of mostly poorly fitting plastic parts). Looking at the direction they're taking with their engines, I would not be surprised if it featured a transverse mounted abomination coupled with a gearbox that could make a peugeot seem reliable. I imagine the use of plastic would also be quite prevalent in the driveline too, since it's economical and light weight. And what latte-sipping yuppie would even consider buying something with the 'harsh' ride of a solid axle? Hell, if they build another light truck I think we could all be happy if the actual usable payload capacity equated to more than a couple 2x4s. They're still better managed than GM. what are you talking about???? is that english your speaking? transverse mounted abomination coupled with a gearbox ..... really? :huh???:
  13. i know...keep it old school.I'm more old school than anyone BUT>>>>>>>>>>that new one is cool as a cucumber
  14. this thing rules does anyone know if there out or not?
  15. where are these parts located. i was going to replace thermostat today, (after i drilled a "burping" hole in it). it was suggested by someone to get the air out of my coolant
  16. i got the one that came off my white truck and its powdercoated white willing to trade for tires and or rims, 30s
  17. i think I'm looking for offers or a trade for the nerfs and cover for some tires and or rims like 30s or so
  18. no... that one dosent have snaps and it has diffrent clips thanks for responding though!
  19. No. Not related to using 4WD. But unless you have converted, you have the "closed" cooling system. Those are VERY difficult to get all the air out of after working on the cooling system. One of the symptoms of not enough coolant is no heat. It seems contradictory that it would overheat yet not generate heat, but when the coolant level is low, nothing gets to the heater core. The engine can overheat, but you'll have no heat. Do a search on "burping" the system. It's only difficult if you don't either drill a small hole in the top of your aftermarket thermostat or get a Dealership thermostat with a bleed valve in the top. I installed a dealership thermostat in my MJ on Monday, and I had no problems getting air out. ;) For those of you that read my thread on heater hose replacement, you would know that air in the system was the least of my problems! :rotf: what size hole should i drill in my thermostat?
  20. thanks, i will replace today.
  21. the thermostat was not broken, why would i replace it? it was open from the heat, it snapped shut once i cooled it down.
  22. how come you can only delete some of your posts and not others sorry, just trying to understand this forum a little better
