  1. Still waiting on my flush mount boat filler and gonna mount it flush to the bed I'll post pictures once it comes in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. So I've replaced the pinion and carrier bearing still need todo the wheel bearings but those will have to wait. My Cps crapped out on my so that got replaced as well as injectors getting rebuild due to getting bad gas! The washer and nut you see are from the way my XJ fuel pump I put in the MJ tank I snagged a killer deal from a local jeep group last weekend and got a TJ tank and skid for 50$ so I pulled the MJ tank and put the TJ tank behind the rear axle almost took zero fab work to be honest Cut a hole in my bed for the fuel filler to go through and so I'm waiting on a 45degree bend 1 1/4" fuel hose to get it to properly come threw and then I will flush mount a filler neck in the bed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I put a wrangler TJ tank it mine and I love it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I put a speaker bar up front. Doesn't block my view at all and don't have to worry about head clearance. Still need to make a headliner to cover it all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Put it in place of the spare tire, if you get a 97-04 TJ tank they supposedly fit great in the spare tire location Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well I got the solenoids switched out with some junk yard ones and much much better shifting The bad solenoid a little out of tolerance Junk yard one much much better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Turned out they didn't tighten all the TC bolts. The top two stuff out far enough to rub in the inspection plate. Now I'm tracing down a solenoid problems having some shifting issues so time to hit the junk yard and grab some solenoids Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. What a bust pretty sure the AAMCO ruined my tranny. Dang truck wouldn't even turn over jumped the started and it sounded like sheet metal in a wood chipper Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Well the tranny was leaking and I need to drive it 600 miles next month so the jeeps been at the shop getting the tranny fixed. Just got it back yesterday so now I can finish everything up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Well after getting a driveshaft that fit and putting it down the road for the initial test drive I had the passenger front caliber locked up so after getting that replaced I drove it to work it was running. About 220-230 degrees. So I flipped the fans to the inside of the radiator and put a small spacer in the back of the hood. I replaced the rear diff fluid which was thick chocolate milk. I also notice the yoke had a lot of play, that ended up being the missing crush seal. After getting all that finally settled and it running smooth I got a nasty tranny leak. So I pulled the tranny because the first time I mated them I kinda forced them so I'm thinning the TC didn't seal up correct so I pulled the TC and replaced the seal on the front pump while I was there just in case now I'm just trying to get everything lined up without having to force it all together I went to the junk yard to get a driveshaft I ended up snagging a rear sound bar from a XJ so I mounted that up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. What I did with mine was relocate the alternator after removing the a/c compressor I put the link to my build below it should be there either the bottom of first page or top of second. http://comancheclub.com/topic/51457-90-short-box-98-swap/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Well I couldn't stand having it 3 colors and while waiting on a driveshaft to come in the mail I decided to sand it and paint it. It's nothing special and I did no body work(I will after I get settled into my new job and house in May) At the same time I swapped out the MJ shackles for XJ to drop the back a bit, still needs to go about 2 inches lower I also got my fans mounted on my radiator Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I may have missed it but how did you run your ebrake cable and what cable did you use, I have my Cherokee cable attached but its too short, and my Comanche cable was no good. I can't get it inspected until I have a working ebrake
  14. Thanks I appreciate it! Learning as I go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Well I got the interior finished! Well minus a small spot where I ran out of paint to cover the raptor liner. And I need to snag a radio off of Amazon or someplace. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yea I had it on there for awhile I didn't want to just give it away lol but I didn't need two projects at one time. I'm still on Lejeune been here since 2013 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Well I figured out there was a chunk of goopy gas saturated rubber plugging my pump from actually sucking fuel. Cleaned it all up and she runs. She doesn't like to idle though. Soon as you let off the gas she dies out. Used some leftover raptor liner to line my floors. It's the tintable and I didn't have any base color so it's just white and I'll rattle can over it black Also I found a super clean charcoal interior Xj at the pull a part so I've been snagging interior from it just need to snag the seats one of these days, the coin tray, and the steering wheel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I mean I just rewired my entire Comanche with 98 Cherokee harness parts I'm sure I could figure it out I really like the looks of them. I finally got my 90/98 MJ running last night now to put the finishing touches on it and get the inspection. I go on terminal may 1st! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Now I just need to figure out my fuel issue..... [emoji848][emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Well I finally on my last minute brain storm of tracing wires and trying to test pin 87 on the starter relay from a fella on the Cherokee forum. I found that pin 87 in the PDC for the starter was pushed out there fore not making contact with the relay. Push it back up and in, and the jeep cranks now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I will check pin 30 tomorrow when I get home from work. I did manage to snag the NSS off and cleaned it so hopefully that will help as well if that was causing any issues it was pretty nasty in there Also thanks I was pretty impressed how they turned out too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Well with the motor and tranny in I started plumbing all the wiring, I'm pretty good with electrical stuff to I extended the XJ harness all the way to the rear only using the MJ reverse light sockets and carefully taking a file to the MJ tail lights to get the XJ sockets to work. After getting everything in and ran I realized I made one big mistake. I never drilled a hole in the firewall for the AW4 shift linkage [emoji58] so out came the dash again. Now when I try to start it I get the dash and everything coming on Hvac and blower work but I'm not getting any power to my solenoid wire at the starter. I get 12 volts at pin 86 for the starter relay in the PDC when I turn the key but can't get power from there too the solenoid. Anyone have any ideas? In the mean time I took 2000grit then 3000grit and wet sanded the taillights then finished them by using neverdull, probably the best I've ever been able to refinish lights before. Then I taped them off and tinted the trim with taillight tint just to break up the individual lights Also I ordered a 97+radiator hose when I needed one pre 94 with A/c Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. How hard were the things flares to fit the back? I have factory ones still but the fenderwells are shot so imma have todo the bodywork first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks guys, yea thought about just swapping the whole motor, Probably better off seeing as how I don't even know if the Comanche's will work I haven't tried it yet.
  25. Hey guys I'm doing a 97+ swap on my Comanche it's a 90 my trouble is I forgot to snag the windshield wiper motor from my donor. I have the 90 motor and all the wiring is from a 98. I was wondering if anyone had the pinout from a 90 XJ/Mj with the round rubber plug and the 98 oval plastic plug so I can mate the two together. Or if someone has pictures of the motor with the wires going into so i can have wipers and pass state inspection. Thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
