  1. it`s the most fun you can have with your clothes on lol . The runs never seem to last long enough. You get in, strap up and then go hammer down and try to keep it on all fours
  2. No problem . I love these trucks , and I know a few people may see this thread and dissapprove of cutting up a 92 , but in all honesty it would have never saw the road again and I actually saved it from being sent to the crusher as it had sat in a farm field for 6 years until I dragged it out of the tall grass lol
  3. a lot of the build pics weren`t linked as I made a new facebook acount so I scrolled through the thread and put some pics back on for those who asked. Also thought I`d throw in some pics of the 99+ intake install. It`s been said that the redesigned 99+ intake gives a great improvement when installed on 91 and up 4 litres. I definately felt a quicker throttle response . New intake on the left, original 92 on the right ... Might as well do a gasket match port and polish eh ?? lol it`s the prettiest piece in the engine bay !! Anyone interested in trying this swap , keep in mind if you`re doing it on an MJ you will need a power steering pump and bracket from a 96-01 XJ / ZJ as they are a totally different set up than the 91-95 , I picked one up from a junk yard for $40
  4. awesome build and a great tribute ! two thumbs up !
  5. sorry about that, hope it works now !
  6. lol thanks. havent touched the truck in almost 2 years so the thread had some dust on it lol
  7. i`ll never part with it lol. been asked many times and never once gave an offer
  8. a nice action shot from last weekend. felt good to shake the rust off the ole girl !!
  9. thanks. took a lot of work to get her looking that good again lol Bum shot !! diggin the Grand am spoiler lol
  10. after sitting for 2 years I finally got back at the race truck and had enough time to give her a facelift before race season. Hope you all like !! Recycled goods . Fibreglass baja body kit from a junked XJ race truck This took a LOT of measuring and cutting to get the grille and rad support to fit around the stinger, but the end result looked great !
  11. no big news here, but i gutted the box last week. and just picked up a rebuilt 90 Remix motor that was rebuilt less than 20,000 km ago ( the jeep burned up lol ). swapping on a ported HO head, cam, intake and exhaust, and giving er hell ! theres a race on the 19th nearby and i`ve got my jeep and my gf`s to finish before then lol with me luck, pics to follow !
  12. i haven`t got the truck there yet but I did attend last year, loved it !
  13. how about we make it a lobster, i`m going fishing in a week, i`ll fed-ex it lol
  14. lol look up "supercharged powerwheels" on youtube, its a simple mod, switch them to 12V and they go like stink !!!
  15. total cost to fix this buggy up, $90, including paint lol. couldn`t decide on what to paint it, so I went with a scheme that has worked well for me in the past lol... here's my next project... figuring on ton axles, body lift, and maybe a diesel....
  16. haha you guessed it, trampoline !!the mud slut 2 is in hibernation for the winter, never gonna part with that lol. this MJ will have a very similar paint scheme
  17. made some progress on the MJ today, and when I said CHEAP... I meant CHEAP lol. front lower box panels are made from water heater skin, bent and welded, and if anyone can guess what the rear bumper is made from.... you win a cookie
  18. pulled the Manche into the garage today and started stripping her down for a Beauti-tone make over lol Mall Crawler lol Chrome will get you home !! out with the old bedliner, soon in with the new...check out the monster bumper !!
  19. first plans are a mild lift, 3 inches front and rear, 31`s on offset wheels, and PAINT lol. The box is still really solid, I need to make the bottom panels and weld them on, the sides have been fixed but i`m not worried about looks at this point. The floor was replaced and was actually done very nicely ! the frame and all brackets are in great shape for the year, and the 2.5 runs like a top !! I`d like to keep it a 4cyl and convert it to a 4x4, going to see about a 4x4 standard tranny tomorrow for the 2.5 , the rest of the parts needed I already have !! Not a bad score for $400 !! lol this one shows the light switch which is needed to start the MJ :rotf: pimpin sound system !!
  20. ok so i`m low on funds and need a vehicle to get me thru the winter, and then the other night I see an ad on Kijiji for an 88 MJ with lots of new parts and no price. i talk to the guy and he needs money for christmas, so hes selling it. I picked up an 88 mj swb 2.5 5 speed 2wd for $400 and drove it over an hour home !!! pics and future upgrades to follow lol
  21. thanks !! i built this thing on a $1000 budget, it has a refdigerator door for a floor lol, weight lifting bench, bed frames, old used water pipes, and even a few pieces off of herring cutting machines in it. the cage is all new pipe, the rest is used stuff i had laying around. hoing next year I can throw some $$$ at it for a 4.8 stroker and coilovers all around ! here's a pic after i raced it, minus the hood scoop that came off and almost decapitated me during the race lol.... And here is my $300 winter beater. it was flat black with red spots and rust holes when I got it lol, 88 MJ 2.5 5 speed 2wd . I went with a familiar paint scheme and since the race truck had street tires, i just swapped em lol
  22. a can of red paint for the rollcage lol
  23. the 4.slow lost compression so it had to go , the only complete motor I had was from a junked 95 with 380,000 Km`s on it, but has awesome compression . I later found out that the original motor with 140K also had an out of round crank !
