No problem . I love these trucks , and I know a few people may see this thread and dissapprove of cutting up a 92 , but in all honesty it would have never saw the road again and I actually saved it from being sent to the crusher as it had sat in a farm field for 6 years until I dragged it out of the tall grass lol

a lot of the build pics weren`t linked as I made a new facebook acount so I scrolled through the thread and put some pics back on for those who asked. Also thought I`d throw in some pics of the 99+ intake install. It`s been said that the redesigned 99+ intake gives a great improvement when installed on 91 and up 4 litres. I definately felt a quicker throttle response . New intake on the left, original 92 on the right ... Might as well do a gasket match port and polish eh ?? lol it`s the prettiest piece in the engine bay !! Anyone interested in trying this swap , keep in mind if you`re doing it on an MJ you will need a power steering pump and bracket from a 96-01 XJ / ZJ as they are a totally different set up than the 91-95 , I picked one up from a junk yard for $40

sorry about that, hope it works now !

after sitting for 2 years I finally got back at the race truck and had enough time to give her a facelift before race season. Hope you all like !! Recycled goods . Fibreglass baja body kit from a junked XJ race truck This took a LOT of measuring and cutting to get the grille and rad support to fit around the stinger, but the end result looked great !

total cost to fix this buggy up, $90, including paint lol. couldn`t decide on what to paint it, so I went with a scheme that has worked well for me in the past lol... here's my next project... figuring on ton axles, body lift, and maybe a diesel.... -

made some progress on the MJ today, and when I said CHEAP... I meant CHEAP lol. front lower box panels are made from water heater skin, bent and welded, and if anyone can guess what the rear bumper is made from.... you win a cookie -

first plans are a mild lift, 3 inches front and rear, 31`s on offset wheels, and PAINT lol. The box is still really solid, I need to make the bottom panels and weld them on, the sides have been fixed but i`m not worried about looks at this point. The floor was replaced and was actually done very nicely ! the frame and all brackets are in great shape for the year, and the 2.5 runs like a top !! I`d like to keep it a 4cyl and convert it to a 4x4, going to see about a 4x4 standard tranny tomorrow for the 2.5 , the rest of the parts needed I already have !! Not a bad score for $400 !! lol this one shows the light switch which is needed to start the MJ :rotf: pimpin sound system !! -
ok so i`m low on funds and need a vehicle to get me thru the winter, and then the other night I see an ad on Kijiji for an 88 MJ with lots of new parts and no price. i talk to the guy and he needs money for christmas, so hes selling it. I picked up an 88 mj swb 2.5 5 speed 2wd for $400 and drove it over an hour home !!! pics and future upgrades to follow lol

thanks !! i built this thing on a $1000 budget, it has a refdigerator door for a floor lol, weight lifting bench, bed frames, old used water pipes, and even a few pieces off of herring cutting machines in it. the cage is all new pipe, the rest is used stuff i had laying around. hoing next year I can throw some $$$ at it for a 4.8 stroker and coilovers all around ! here's a pic after i raced it, minus the hood scoop that came off and almost decapitated me during the race lol.... And here is my $300 winter beater. it was flat black with red spots and rust holes when I got it lol, 88 MJ 2.5 5 speed 2wd . I went with a familiar paint scheme and since the race truck had street tires, i just swapped em lol

a can of red paint for the rollcage lol
