  2. They both need to come back off for repaint and some clean up. That was just a quick throw paint on them to keep them from rusting. The trucks been sidelined for a while while we bought a house and sorted a bunch of ither things out Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

  7. Would that cause it to idle irraticly and sometimes die at start up. I also tried to clean the icm to coil contacts but the whole this crusty and already has a broken screw Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  8. It dose idle better. Reves high at first for a second or two then smothes out. I did find some bad hoses on the charcoal canister tho Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  9. Nope with the wire unhooked the teminal in the testport had power i tested the loose wire it also had power Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  10. Looks like everything I'm seeing showed 4 ring terminals with fuseble links on that post . One blue One two green wires One orange and green wires And one single orange wire like my unhooked one Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  11. Ok so got my new cables in. The pin has batt+ when running. But i tested that wire and it also has positive voltage when the truxks running I'm suprised it hasent shorted out Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  12. no problem I'm going through cruisers site and he says to add one from the batt - to the core support and re do the head to firewall... pretty sure that ones missing on mine

  14. ive got to get the grount to block nut off the stupid stud, then make the new batt to starter and starter relay to batt cable. also it should have a ground fromthe battery to the fender right? mine dosent and there is nothing on the fender that looks like it ever had one
  15. thats the two connectors with yellow caps by the coolent tank right?

  18. its a fused link so I'm guessing it needs to be hooked to a positive somewhere. it reaches the starter relay should i hook it there??
  19. sometimes... mabey kinda the thing has never started quickly or idled well on startup....
  20. it goes down into the wire loom that runs along the fender i didnt want to unloom it all to try to trace it just yet, ive had this truck prolly 6 years and its never been hooked up, i also don't think i have an electric fan i can't remember

  24. ya its the bearing thats bad, but the pulley its self is really really rusty and slightly bent. ill try to get one of those thanks. everything i found online was about people trying to find the bracket not a replacement pulley lol
  25. i have an 88 4.0 that both idlers were bad on. i got both from napa the lower smooth one was fine it came with a new bushing and fit right. the upper groved one on the ac bypass mount won't work with the old bushing and it didnt come with a new one. the old pulley was metal the new one is plastic the bushing hits the plastic of the pulley, i could grind the bushing down to fit in the pulley its just the washer portion thats to big around. i was woundering if anyone else has ran into this before
