External Slave AX15 swap, lets see how it goes

So you're going to want ago ahead and undo your rear driveshaft strap bolts, there's for of them then slide the rear driveshaft off. Make sure you drain the transfer case first Undo the transfer case skid if equipped then remove the 6 cross member bolts leaving the two studs in Remove the four strap bolts on the front axles and four bolts on the t case front yoke and then remove the front driveshaft Undo the speedometer, vacuum switch and reverse light wires Undo your exhaust, I don't have pictures since I'm cutting mine off and redoing it all. Remove the two starter and one bellhousing bolt near the starter Remove the four transmission mount bolts Undo the transfer case linkage from the t case and body Lower the assembly with a jack and get a long extension and under the top engine star bolts Remove the four lower bellhousing bolts. I'll call this a wrap for day one Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk -

Anyone run the Luk throwout bearing? It's a plastic construction and I'm rather hesitant to use it. Has anyone used it with long term success? Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk

Going to pull the motor and trans from the donor jeep today, I've spent the last four days carefully unhook stuff as to save the harness for a future swap possibly? FedEx should get the parts to me by Monday or Tuesday and I will update with a step by step guide and lots of pictures on the actually conversion. -

Renix MJ + 5 MPH wind or inline = can't hold 70 MPH

It's straight piped but has plenty of power 2-4. First gear had so much power it destroyed itself! -
Seeing as my MJ is a gutless turd I'm looking into a few options. With no wind it can cruise in 5th no problem. I would like opinions on what everyone thinks I should do since I'm sure this isn't an uncommon issue. 1. Regear, currently on stock 3.07s. I have 3.55 axles to put in but I'm concerned that with 31s it'll put me right back into the same spot I'm currently in. 2. Injectors, four holes. I did these on my 95 and they seemed to help. Not sure how the Renix would respond to them, input? 3. HO head, intake, throttle body and exhaust swap. To the best of my understanding, the TB and intake is the choking point on a renix. Can anyone offer input on the results of this swap? 3. Full HO harness with 7120 motor, currently on the bottom of my list since I've done a good amount of work to my current harness and motor, would hate to through that all out but if this is what needs to be done, I'll do it. The results of this are obvious to me but I really do want to exhaust all resources before tackling this one. So far I've done a 90 ECM swap, plugs, cap, rotor, wires, timing chain and gears. Good compression on all cylinders. Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk
