  3. Got the carpet off ebay you can just do a search theres a couple sellers on there that sell them any color u want.. the paint i bought from napa did the bodywork myself ..my friend owns an autobody shop so had him shoot the paint for me in his paint booth here in the virgin islands

  7. thanks guys..very much appreciated
  8. Yessir..thats your taillights alright  Damn they cleaned up nice. I saw a "how-to" on Facebook the other day on polishing then masking off the edges for black paint and an overall coat of clear afterwards. I'm guessing that's what you did? Yup.. one of them had chipped around the edge i fiberglass it fell right under the black trim so it covered up nicely scuffed with a scotch brite then cleared threw a hint of black into the clear as well to give it a slightly tinted look...
  9. Yessir..thats your taillights alright
  10. Thanks man...maybe turn out even better than mine
  11. Picked Up the a-pillar gauge pod from summit racing think its made by autometer for xj but as we all know the entire front of the mj is the same so fits perfectly just threw on some gray paint to match the interior.. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-15210/applications The Headliner is pretty basic just some speaker box cover material i had laying around and cut it to fit and stuck on with some 3m super 77 spray on adhesive i picked up from home Depot.. a1500ram on here makes great headliners for that factory look but total cost to get it here to the virgin islands was $200 so i improvised a little i have more head clearance without the headliner and looks decent.. total cost was less than $20 bucks..and i can dig that...also the dome light t had a few plastic tabs sticking on the back i just sanded it down for a flush mount and bent the tabs holding the bulb inwards a bit drilled small holes for the self tap in screw through the roof support and wired it from the b-pillar lights ..sorry i don't have pics before it was mounted...
  12. The difference in polarity is NOT a MJ vs XJ thing. It's a Renix vs HO thing. Oh i see...so a renix era xj fuel pump would work with a mj?
  13. You won't find a replacement mj sending unit in stores best bet is pull-a-part no mj's at the junkyard where i live so i hacked up that fuel sending unit from autozone and adapted it to the mj one and i get close to accurate readings on my fuel gauge.. its not 100% accurate but i would say at least 98% that catch is that it reads in reverse due to different polarity between mj and xj but i got use to reading it backwards...E-everythings ok F- find nearest gas station
  14. Brand new catalytic converter so thats another cause eliminated waiting to swap out the rad....also i have a question maybe dumb but do you think a bad oil pump can cause ur engine to overheat?..I'm thinking less oil circulation more friction?..just a thuoght
  15. i'll do a combustion leak test before i change out the radiator to make sure its not a bad head or head gasket
  16. Replaced cap with new volvo cap the water pump is also new put in a new 195 stat from napa 2 days ago also just finished putting in a spring in the lower radiator hose still overheating I'm trying a flush right now if that doesnt work then i'm guessing i need a new rad?
  17. Just the opposite. When the fan clutch is failing, the engine will overheat when stopped in traffic and cool down when moving. yep...it runs like 200 when stopped in traffic and idling in park will even drop down to 180
  18. Runs around 205-210 around town but keeps climbing to 220-230 on highway...new waterpump new 195 thermostat new expansion tank with volvo cap..any ideas why its overheating? Also the radiator hose coming from the water pump is new and doesnt have the spring in there could it be that its collapsing at high rpms and restricting coolant flow?
  19. Enjoying her short moment of fame
