daltonmcgill7 replied to daltonmcgill7's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
the mj is a 5 speed 4.0 and the zj is an automatic 4. not sure on the transfer cases -
will it work? can i take everything off the mj and put it on the zj because the zjs bushing are wore out

so should i not worry about the noise
-
also when i turn theres a clunking noise what could that be?
-
i tighted the control arm frame mount and one bolt was hand tight and the other one barley to any pressure for it toiloosen so i tightend them up and went and hit a speed bump at about 60. And had no death wobble so do you think its fixed? i wanna take it on the highway ,But i havent gotten it registerd yet and i don't wanna pay the money yet if its not fixed.

Thayer03's Comache Build

are you still using stock control arms and stock tracbar -
he says he has spark so CPS is probly good. no fuel pressure could either mean the truck is OUT OF GAS... (silly mistake, don't let a failed gauge let you down) probably not a blocked fuel filter if this just started happening out of the blue but you can replace it cheap and know thats good. check and be sure the pump has a full 12v and then pull the line before the filter and see how much (if any) it pumps. thanks ill try this
-
well i finally got fuel pressure but still no start I'm thinking its got bad gas is there a way to drain the tank without taking it completly out or do u think i should pour some seafoam in it
-
:agree:
-
but wouldnt that make the fuel pump not work at all i hear it running but get no fuel :huh???:

track bar drop bracket
daltonmcgill7 replied to daltonmcgill7's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i was wondering if i did go soa in the back could i put some kind of lowering shackle on and maybe take a leaf out to drop it to about 3-4 inches of lift insted of 5-6 and just get some 3 inch coils for the front and new shocks. the reason i wanna go soa is because I'm sick of hitting my springs on the ground i want more ground clearence.
