  1. Sway bars do nothing going straight down the road. They control body roll in turns. Just hope that you don't have to take any evasive maneuvers with that much lift. :shake: You already have the brackets. Just go to the junk yard and pick up a sway bar and get some disconnects. Willy i love my body roll.  its fun
  2. thanks for help.....i think i found the problem by readying a tip thread ............my Clutch Master Cylinder is leaking down onto my fuse box ....so i bought a new Clutch Master Cylinder for 43.00$ . and I'm going to spray break cleaner on my fuse box and try cleaning the leads out with a tooth brush.............................. and of course unplug my battery :clapping: but if that does not work then i will buy a new headlight switch. but everything was working perfect and it just quit so when i pulled the fuses they had oil on the fuse legs. i don't have much money so I'm starting small and working up./.... :clapping:
  3. :agree: and take off the shorter shackle .... will post pics when all done guys  when i got the truck it had no sway bars. but i love how it drives with out them. even going 60 down the road it drives pretty straight so i will not put them on :clapping: . and there are no hubs. so don't even have to get out of truck always ready to go off road. :clapping: :clapping:
  4. nice truck ...  can wait to see more pics. on you project. i like you call the it a "pressure Bottle" which it is....lol who had that idea? ...... :clapping:" I bought the truck, a 97 block, 96 head, and 95 intake, and a AX-15 tranny for $600." :clapping:  AX-15 tranny :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  5. lol  its such a great night out tonight when i talk to someone about my truck . no one understands why i own Her. but its American to go where you want when you want. .......... 8) but yeah my tires hit my wheel wells and hits my fenders they are about to fall off. ........ but yeah i bought this truck about 8 months ago and since its been a money pit. i really have not noticed it that much until now when i hear it can break my leaf springs how it sits wrong and all, and i want to take it off. but I'm a lone soldier here in my valley. i don't even have a spare tire . or a jack. yeah its that bad. but its my project. its a love i guess because i don't spend this much money on my girlfriend/wife..... but there are some amazing mjs here . a blue print of every mod i can do.   so i guess its just about getting my own garage and a welder............... but i will take that double shackle off. and what do you guys think about not running sway bars @ all. ? Image Not Found which shackle should i take off A or B
  6. man i wish i had that truck in high school .its the ultimate shagging wagon
  7. damn willy.its one of the best mj i have ever seen . go i need to buy a welder and move out of my apartments
  8. " Double shackles, if you must do it, should operate like this, as everyone else has noted" they have some dude that is not running his double shack right "The whole point of using double shackles is to gain travel/articulation, NOT for lifting purposes." ..................................................................... "The whole point of using double shackles is to gain travel/articulation" why should i give this up ? and i don't run sway bars which hurt travel/artication..................... and i saw a pink Comanche to day it was  different
  9. yeah running lights parking lights 2 don't work taillights only work when i hit the break or turning.
  10. i live in the ghetto someone would steal my setup  but i like $500 MJ gun rack. time to hit up walmart :clapping:
  11. thats it? "don't run it" why not? :redX: , its already on there . and i think i get more movement
  12. Ummm, my Dana 35 does NOT have C-clips. Care to rephrase that statement? Also, the problem with C clips is not that they are weaker, it is that IF you break an axle, there's nothing holding the end with the wheel on it onto the truck. Its not what I'm saying its what http://www.jeepforum.com/wiki/index.php/Chrysler_8.25 says but i guess your right u don't have c-clips. I'm still new to the jeep Comanche world sorry if i get some things wrong i was never told what anything about the truck when i got it. the guy i got it from did now know anything about it. and when i got tags the truck has not been registered on the road for 8 years out of Cali and i live in Oregon. but now my running lights don't work but breaks and blinkers do.? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :wall: :wall: :wall: can someone help me
  13. :fs1: :fs1: :fs1: everything was working perfect. and now my running lights will not work. my blinkers and break lights work but no running lights . arg           :shake:
  14. do you have aftermarket muffler flowmaster ... . i wonder if it would be worth the 50-80 bucks at a local shop for some better sound
  15. Dude my Mj was in the same shape when i got it broke window crank. a bunch of busted fuses ... nothing worked but it turned on and both the front turn signals were cut  . but i payed someone to fix all. but it still has a prob when i have my light off and i use turn signal the cd player dies , but when i have the lights on cd player does not die. so i guess with the head light on all the time its saver i guess
  16. i like those cup holders, these are mine Image Not Found free with #2 @ BK
  17. i like it man. 37 would work. i run 36.12.50.15;s but no locker up front . the tires hit the outer finders they almost fell off. and i don't have a sway bar front or rear so axle articulate a lot. but i have not broke a axle yet. but i go slow i plan to upgrade my rear axle and get front shafts... but you can get away with 37 tell it breaks lol :wavey:
  18. Image Not Found :wavey:
  19. Image Not Found have you guys ever seen this ? :huh???: is that a double shackle?
  20. what is this thing ........... :clapping: ................ your right. but it is a still a weak piece of poop not worth having as a rear axle  " Chrysler 8.25 - 27 spline, 1.17" diameter shafts, 8.25" ring gear, 3" axle tube - used 91-96 Chrysler 8.25 - 29 spline, 1.21" diameter shafts, 8.25" ring gear, 3" axle tube - used 97-01 Strength wise, the Chrysler 8.25" fits between the Dana 35 and Dana 44. The axle has more splines than the Dana 35 and less splines than the Dana 44. Unlike the Dana 44 and like the Dana 35 it has the weaker c-clips . " http://www.jeepforum.com/wiki/index.php/Chrysler_8.25
  21. Take another look at your rear axle. According to this picture your have a Chrysler 8.25, not a D35. Willy is that good?
  22. i have some plastic thingy in my axle . i like the nut action :wavey: nice mj 2 anything is possible for upgrades.
  23. nice bed bob. and i love dana 60s that is sweet . gosh i need a welder
