  1. ^^this^^ They're about as simple as "tech" gets. There's a slide inside the belts spool housing with a weight on it. When you hit the brakes, the momentum causes that weight to slide forward and "lock" the spool.
  2. Here's a write up w/pics from a friends build. http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/my-version-cowl-snorkle-67919/
  3. Cause they can't put anything on the internet that's not true. "Oh look, here comes my date. She's a Victoria Secret model." As for over used phrases, anything with ebonics in it. Like "I is", or "you be" and idiots who can't spell simple words like what. Instead they use Wut at antidisestablishmentarianism.
  4. Like I stated earlier, people like to laugh. Laughter should never be overrated.
  5. Didn't Google it. My one boss is from Denmark. He neglected to mention special characters to me as I knew not about them. I even was man enough to admit that. Deal with it. It's totally righteous to Google your stuff first, you know? That just sounded so wrong......lmfao.
  6. Did you know you're full of crap? The Danish (Scandinavian) is bæ, not Bae. Special language character æ. I know not of special characters. So Charmin or house brand?....
  7. You know Bae is actually the Danish word for crap? Yeah, call her bae, she'll love that.
  8. I like to laugh. Life sucks so might as well have fun and laugh.
  9. Yes, I do. Its got a 2.5"-30" lift range. I don't know if that's high enough for you?
  10. Your clutch kit should have came with one. The good clutch kits do.
  11. The Texas conman? He's an Isrelli (sp?) engineer responsible for the website "water4gas.com". He used to live in Tampa but now L.A. Didn't know your proximity to Tampa or if you'd even seen the site. VERY interesting read. Apologies for trying to hijack the thread!I saw he got tried in TX, that's why I stated that, Tampa is directly across from me by about two and a half hours.
  12. IE: (I'm going to use you as an example, no offense) You live up north with more rocks and ledges than here. Now if I wanted to ask "Hey I want to try crawling or tight trails, what tires and armor would you recommend?" You would be best to ask as its your territory. Or if you wanted to cruise the swamps, you would look twords my opinion as its my territory. This was the same situation, he came to a forum/group bragging of Duramax type power and a couple of us stated he only made 87hp. He got defensive and let the insults fly.
  13. I take it REAL personal when idiots attack me on other forums and groups for no reason. On another group, said idiot got po'ed because I posted spec sheets for his engine and transmission he knew nothing about. Then gets upset over the fact that said engine made less power than he thought. Cruiser and I think a lot alike, as in if you admit you don't know about something, we will give you what you need to help you learn. If you get butthurt because its not what you expected or wanted to hear, then that's on you.
  14. The Texas conman?
  15. Lmao. I need the laughs.
  16. Those TDi swaps are sweet. A buddy did one to his Wrangler. Only down side. The swap cost more than he paid for the Jeep. Lol. As for not knowing engines, I was a fleet mechanic for eight years at night. I hold 5 ASE certs still and I have two college degrees in Automotive Engineering and Automotive Design. I used to build swamp buggies, mud boggers and dirt track racers. I help moderate and run two other tech forums with a few from here. Yeah, I think I got that guy beat.
  17. Exactly. Its not original anymore witch detracts from its value. And that engine really is nothing special. The NA model made 85hp while the Turbo model only made 87hp. He kept getting mad at me on fb because I posted the specs on it while he kept saying "I'm a dumb kid (I wish I was younger again. Lol) who knows nothing about vehicles."
  18. No way is this thing worth 20K maybe in mint condition but not as is. http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/5041026054.html
  19. The guy apparently had saltwater kayaks and fishing gear he would throw on top and in the back.
  20. I tried to register there (4bj) just to look around but I couldn't for some reason. I have seen it on fb but looks like only Wranglers there which I don't really care for.
  21. AMC/Chrysler used to own OMC and manufactured the Mercruiser before Chevrolet bought them out around 89-90.
  22. I'm using the OMC version. I've measured and mic'ed it. The caps will have to be line bored/machined a little along with the flywheel flange. There are also two different styles, 1 piece rear main and two piece rear main. I'm using a one piece.
  23. I'm trying. This damn Heart meds and pain meds they got me on are really getting to me... But thanks for the laugh. [emoji106]
  24. Bendix rod. Bendix had the only adjustable master cylinder boosters out there. Allows you to compensate and adjust for differences in machining of the master cylinder piston.
