Looking for a 48.5" or 49" driveshaft (some what local illinois) I don't have cash but I do have a 2wd ax5 to trade for it (cracked bellhousing), u joint went out and It grenaded, it has a new rear seal in it. I already have a TH350 yoke for it

  5. Ok so I was at a local JY, and they had a international scout 800A, I was wondering if the d44 out of the back would work on my mj? I know spring perches, and gears, but is it narrower than my d35 or wider? I can't get back to the yj for a few weeks or I would measure it myself, everything was set up like an mj, rear was centered diff, and front was drivers side diff. And also what about the front is it also a d44?
  6. Ok I'm in the middle of converting my 92 shortbed 2.5 ax5 to 4x4. Since the stock drive shaft won't work. Will a drive shaft from an mj with a 4.0 shortbed work (length wise) I already have the correct slip yoke.

  19. Cherokee rear axle, or a ford 8.8 from an exploder there's tons of different ones u could use it all depends on what you want to do with it, if it's 4x4 be sure that the gears match up from the front axle to the rear. Gear tag should be located in between bolts on the diff cover
  20. I got one today from the Junk yard from a suburban turbo 350. Got lucky and the owner gave me the carbon/aluminum drive shaft with it.. what are the chances I won't have to cut the shaft? Just put the new slip yolk on my old shaft and it'll work? Because it looks extremely close.
  21. Ok, while converting my 92 2.5, ax5 to 4x4 I bought a trans, tcase, from a 92 yj, after I got it in, my slip yoke from my old ax5 2wd is way too small in diameter. Any help here please on which yoke I need to find I think the tail shaft on the 4x4 is 27 or 28 I'm not 100% sure didn't have a marker to mark where i started counting
  22. It is in, sorry about that I was trying to line it up with the front holes on the transmission. *face palm*
  23. Yes, it's all the way forward on the holes and it's off longitudinally, I will go out later and check again but I'm almost 99% positive it's wrong
  24. Ok I'm converting from 2wd to 4x4, it's a 2.5. And the 2wd cross member won't work the bolt holes are about 3 inches off. Will a cherokee cross member work? And if so does it matter if it came from 4.0 or 2.5? Aw4 or ax15? Or would you suggest welding a plate on mine to extend it a bit? Only welder I have is a cheap 110 Flux core wire welder
  25. I have done 93 yj (I believe it was 93) 2.5 into my 92 mj. Only thing that was changed were motor mounts, and intake. Other than that it was good to go
