  1. The herculiner kit costs around $90. I used some of my oreilys dollars to bring the cost down to around $60. The kit included a gallon of herculiner which turned out to be just around enough for my short bed, you would need more for a long bed.
  2. In case anyone is interested, here is how it turned out today.
  3. Sorry the problem connector is on my 90mj
  4. This is what the same connector looks like on my 95xj that works perfectly.
  5. So I'm trying to figure out why my transmission will not engage. I was checking connectors and found this one looks like it is missing some connectors and maybe even wires. What do you guys think? And how do I fix this if it is actually a problem? I don't see any loose extra wires in that area though.
  6. Thanks, I was leaning towards the lower line. Thanks for the picture, I am gonna go to that line.
  7. This might not be much help for you but, on these forums I have seen a pic of a comanche (obviously) that had a ford ranger cargo light installed onto it. The picture is out there somewhere just can't find it at the moment.
  8. I'm struggling with this decision because while I agree that normally I would chose the first option but the second option lines up real nice with the lines on the tailgate then too.
  9. I'm gonna roll in herculiner, I'm taping it off now. Which tape line do you prefer? Trying to decide what looks better and I am leaning more towards the one that goes further down the bed side, what do you think?
  10. Those are the only stickers I've got left in my engine bay, hope that helps.
  11. Cool I'll get you pics here in a few minutes of everything mine still has
  12. Would pictures of the stickers help you at all?
  13. As far as I remember it isn't adjustable, it might be though. I removed mine when swapping from column shift to floor shift and never installed the new cable, I currently run mine with no interlock cable. I also replaced my column with one from a 5 speed so there was no provision for the cable anyways though.
  14. Sounds like the shift interlock cable, I would pull up the bezel around the shifter and see if there happens to be slack in the cable.
  15. I had this same problem awhile back when trying to fix my old column, I'm really not sure what caused this or how exactly it was fixed. In frustration I uninstalled everything and then just reinstalled it and got it right the second time. I know that isn't much help but I'm sure removing the ignition switch and trying again will solve your problem, wish I knew why though.
  16. I am trying to determine why my MJ is running like rich $#!&. I found this diagram and did the testing. I am unsure of how these two correspond. Both sensors test to the exact same number with ignition on and engine not running, after it was warmed up. Any explanation of how to read this or are my sensor good or bad?
  17. Thanks everybody, yeah it's not the most pleasant thing in life but it is the card I was dealt so no worries. I love being outdoors, I work and play in the outdoors, I got it doing something I enjoy. Check yourself often.
  18. First off sorry I was MIA there for abit. Special thanks go out to strokedmjcomanche for stepping up and taking care of business for me. Without getting into a bunch of details I spent much if the time from my last post here to now back in the hospital. I was diagnosed as having Lyme disease back in august and I am still dealing with getting it under control, spent many recent days admitted to the hospital so please take me serious when I suggest tick prevention while camping or wheeling, seems stupid but seriously you don't want to get lyme, I am only 28yrs old, there isn't a reason I should end up in the hospital for that long. Take prevention seriously.
  19. Thank you everyone, getting a bunch of snow right now but Friday should be nicer I plan on doing the renix tips that day, so if I can get the renix system running correctly it should be just as reliable as the obd1 system I currently drive correct?
  20. Thank you all for the responses but I guess I should have phrased my question better. I will definetely be taking the engine from the 95 and putting it into the 90 MJ. I already know that I will either reuse the renix system on the newer engine or take all electrical from the 95. My question is which is regarded as the better and more reliable setup? It's a ton of work for me either way but just want to do this as few times as possible. Also my 95 runs good, my 90 runs like $#!&, rough idle, runs very rich, etc. I'm gonna try to address these issues over the next two weeks but if I keep the renix system wouldn't all these problems be transferred to the new engine as well?
  21. Cleaned up my tail light lenses today. Before I did anything: After sanding and the right side has one coat of clear: Finished product:
  22. Ok so I am going to rip apart my dd 95 XJ for the 4wd conversion, the engine has twice the mileage as my MJ but runs better smoother, and I know everything that has happened to it for the past 10yrs. What are the pros and cons of swapping the engine and keeping the renix system or going with a full harness swap to get all the HO stuff?
  23. Unplanned trip to hospital ruined junkyard plans for this am, sorry guys, talked to the yard though and they will not be removing the truck for at least two weeks. Will be going on Monday morning again though, so let me know if your interested in anything
