Those ignition switches are garbage anyway. Throw in a push button switch it will cost you ten bucks and that will rule out other problems. I once had a short in some wires that went to the ecu and my truck would randomly die whenever it rained or built up condensation. Check all that and the CPS like stated above.

It's an 89 4.0 v6. Bought it with 94k on it and I doubted those miles as being accurate

Is there a way to match the instrument cluster with the jeep? I ask because I bought my comanche with 113,000 on it but I did notice the RV tow mounts on front. If there is a way I will be extremely happy to hear this because it will be the deciding factor between new parts or keep it the way it is
