yes they are very rare. id like to find one if someone has one stuffed up in the garage they are not using that would be great. I'm sure one could be made fairly easy. anyone now what type of material is used for these? Hornbrod that's a neat diagram. thanks.

Here she is all wired back up. tailgate painted and as you can see the bedliner on top of it still drying. I got excited and pulled off the tape to soon. oh well. and I got the fender flares back on.

here it is painted. its a bit darker more of a black than a dark gray. Matched the paint code but I'm no pro and I'm sure I messed it up. probably lighter coats with reps should have been done. tried to match our Jeep Commander

Hornbrod thanks for the link. i like the idea of those but i have good door panels wit the manual windows. i was able to purchase a power window set up but just need the door panels now. i have plans for them and i am not in any rush. John i have looked on ebay and they seem to be over priced or in a set of 4 from a cherokee. i have emailed one person to see if hell seperate the kit for me. i have searched local area and have found nothing. ill keep my eye out. ive got a roof rack i decided not to use on my trailer build. i added jeep to it from the front of a mj. its never been used.u can remove a section to make it smaller to fit onthe roof of the MJ.

well here's what it looks like finished up. as you can tell. i am not the best wood worker. but its a practice one i suppose. when it breaks i strip the parts off of it and use wood glue and a better saw to make it nice and square with everything nice and tight.
