Hey thanks Pete. Just got a leed on a late 90s xj might be upgrading more sooner than I thought. Like the Axel upgrade though.
-
Thanks will do.
-
Went to check my drivers side u joint and seen my Axel was leaking. Fluid on the lower ball joint. How do I fix this. Stock axels Dana 30s with 4:10s. I know upgrade just need to wait a little longer.
-
Interested in what u find think I have same problem.
-
The thought had crossed my mind to cut the bolt.
-
Passenger side done. It was easy once I removed the oil filter and unbolted the oil filter threads. Needed to replace those gaskets anyway. The bolt for the motor mount pulled out towards the filter once I removed it I could see it would hit the filter mount. Oh well behind me now.

I have an 87 4.0 4wd and the motor mounts are shot. Driver side went in real easy passenger side not so. Will removing the oil filter give me enough room to get the bolt out? Doesn't look like it. Did't try no oil filter wrench.

Anybody know where I can find a slave cylinder line? No one has one in stock? Going to try jy but would like to have new one.
-
Lucky me hopefully. Got under the truck today and found fluid on slave cylinder line. Think I will just replace master cylinder and line. Hose was leaking by the pressed fitting.
-
That's my guess. No fluid any where internal slave. junk

Gray area so I will always have a little vibe? What did you guys do to correct the angle shims? You think it will get a little better once the add a leaf breaks in?
-
Hey thanks guys. Called rustys since they sent me the wrong u bolts anyway and they said the same thing with the angle so they are sending my u bolts and a transfercase lowering kit $ 20 i'll give it a try. But they are the stock u joints so will be replacing them soon also.
-
sorry no pics i have tried before but can't get them downloaded. It is a 97 jeep country. I put a 3inch rustys offroad add a leaf suspension lift on it. i am hoping that it is just my u joints. I am thinking of taking the drive shaft out and having it balanced and new u joints put in.
-
lifted my xj 3" know when i give it gas or let off the gas i get noise and vibration could it be my u-joints? It was there before but not as loud.
-
looking for the comancheclub member that works for hellcreek to point me in the right lift direction for my 97 country. thanks

What a shame :fs1: So I checked out the 92 the add in the paper said awsome condition get there picture was fom the drivers side looked good matching topper had the dana 35 still maroon he was asking 2900. Walked around to the drivers side and another car had backed into it. Right in front of the rear wheel and right behind the door. I go to leave and the guy tells me the truck was hit in walmart parking lot and a body shop told him 700 to 800 fix it. He said it wasnt worth to fix but still wanted 2600. awsome shape? i'll keep my 87. Anbody else wants to check it out go to LeitingsAutoSales.com. Good luck
