This is BS. Have run the stroker at max torque at the strip many times - no problems with the factory mounts (new) and zero fan interference. Have broke a couple of axles though. And I run dual electric fans with much less wiggle room up front than the stock mechanical fan. Strokers don't cause any more "shift" than a stock engine if the mounts are in good shape and the mounting points are intact. Suggest you peruse the various stroker forum and check out the preferred motor/tranny mounts.

Luckily those damn carp haven't made it here - yet......... How to prepare blue catfish. 1. Fillet and skin 2. Slot the filets and stuff with celery strips and onion 3. Season liberally with Old Bay brand seafood seasoning 4. Wrap fillets with banana leaves 5. Tack fillets on a 3/4"x6"x24" hickory board 6. Slow bake at 280* for 1-1/2 hour 7. Remove fillets from the board, throw them in the trash, and eat the board.

I stand corrected.

Hear ya mate. Damn shame our respective specie's life spans are so different; there's nothing tougher than losing a dog you basically grew up with, or grew older with. All you can do is take care of them the best you can, make sure they have the longest heathiest life they can, and love and enjoy while they are with you till the end.

Better.

The Hi Alt CPS (Renix only) has offset mounting holes that advance the ignition timing about 2*, and are used for mountainous locales to prevent pre-ignition. The standard and hi-alt CPS's have two different part numbers. They should have carried this over to the HOs.

It's useless to continue replying to this boo-hoo, poor-me original poster. BUT, since I did, all the solutions offered to the OP's simple problem were ignored, ignorantly argued, or dramatically escalated as in the thread title. You can not help those who have tunnel vision and refuse to help themselves. Time to give it up.

Looks like ol' Ty-rone got a well-deserved @$$ kicking. Here are some others that with get you the same. Twelve Kick @$$ Rules for Non-Military Personnel Dear Civilians: We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance: 1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem - kick their @$$. 2. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest- kick their @$$. 3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation Great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their @$$! 4. If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to be 'Special Forces. Collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old, now, it will only make you look stupid and get your @$$ kicked. 5. Next time you come across an *Air Force* member, do not ask them, 'Do you fly a jet?' Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an @$$-kicking (small children are exempt). 6. If you witness someone calling the *US Coast Guard* 'non-military', inform them of their mistake - then kick their @$$. 7. Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her - of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe @$$-kicking. 8. Don't try to discuss politics with a military member or veteran. We are Americans, and we all bleed the same, regardless of our party affiliation. Our Chain of Command is to include our Commander-In-Chief (CinC). The President (for those who didn't know) is our CinC Regardless of political party. We have no inside track on what happens inside those big important buildings where all those representatives meet. All we know is that when those civilian representatives screw up the situation, they call upon the military to go straighten it out. If you keep asking us the same stupid questions repeatedly, you will get your @$$ kicked. 9. 'Your mama wears combat boots' never made sense to me - stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore would kick your @$$! 10. 'Flyboy' (*Air Force*), 'Jarhead' (*Marines),* 'Grunt' (*Army*), 'Squid' (*Navy*), 'Puddle Jumpers' (*Coast Guard*), etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your @$$ kicked. 11. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our Country would get it's @$$ kicked..' *AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:: 12. If you ever see anyone either standing for or singing the national anthem in Spanish - KICK THEIR @$$.

21# injectors and/or an adjustable MAP should work for you. Model Year, .....Part #, .....Colour, .....Fuel Pressure, ..Static Flow, '87-'90, ........53003956, ...Black, ......39psi, ..........18.6lb/hr '91-'93, ........33007127, ...Brown, ......39psi, .........21.0lb/hr '94-'95, ........53030343, ...Tan, ........39psi, ..........21.0lb/hr '96-'99, ........53030778, ...Grey, .......49psi, ..........23.2lb/hr '00-'01, ........04854181, ...Blue tip, ...49psi, ..........22.5lb/hr The injector flow rate varies as the square root of the pressure drop across the injector. The stock '91-'95 4.0 injectors are rated at 22lb/hr @ 43psi fuel pressure, so at 39psi they flow ( sq. rt.(39/43) x 22.0 = 21.0 ). For stock/modified 4.0 engines or stroker build-ups the following injectors can be installed. The flow rates are: Ford Motorsport 19.0lb/hr @ 39psi (Part no. FMS-M9593-C302) Ford Motorsport 24.0lb/hr @ 39psi (Part no. FMS-M9593-A302) Ford Motorsport 30.0lb/hr @ 39psi (Part no. You don't need an additional relay to wire in a fan manual control dash switch. Use your existing fan relay and apply a ground (or 12V, whatever triggers the Renix fan relay) to the relay coil via the dash switch. With the dash switch in the OPEN position (not energized), the aux fan will continue to operate normally. I have a wiring diagram for this for the HO I can send you, but it's the same principle for the Renix.

Somehow I knew that was coming....... :rotf:

Why does the NAVY have marines on their ships? So the Officers have someone to dance with. Why did the Marine cross the road? Because he couldn't get his d*$# out of the chicken. M- Muscles A- are R- required I- intelligence N- not E- expected, S- Sir! A sailor in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says, "Wanna hear a MARINE joke?" The guy next to him replies, "Well, before you tell that joke, you should know something. I'm 6' tall, 200 lbs, and I'm a MARINE. The guy sitting next to me is 6'2" tall, weighs 225, and he's a MARINE. The fella next to him is 6'5" tall, weighs 250, and he's also a MARINE. Now, you still wanna tell that joke?" The sailor says, "Nah, I don't want to have to explain it three times." Sorry Bo.

Yep, the hair thread was weird, but that's Sir Sam. BUT the man does contribute valuable info to the community all the time and I respect all his posts for that. However you are just a whiner. You have received 100s of replies to all your questions, and always look for a way not to comply to all the good advice given here. Would be nice if "The Death" as you dramatically posted were permanent, but it won't be - you'll be here still whining. Grow up. And no, I'm not drinking kid. Jeesh.........

Oh yeah Jake, he's my buddy. He obviously has a mind of his own, is absolutely fearless (except for the lawnmower  ), and hardheaded. But he's the only other male in the house, so we watch each other's back. :chillin:

In that case, are you still running the original catalytic converter? I replaced basically the entire cooling system when I had the stock engine but still boiled over especially going up long grades in the heat. Turned out to be a restricted / clogged cat. Put a "test" pipe on and problem solved on my 91.
-
How hot are we talking about? Boiling over hot? What's the temp gauge reading? When does it get hot; in traffic or on the freeway? Have you verified the indicated gauge temp with an independent source (i.e. handheld laser or infrared thermometer)? The dash temp gauge isn't exactly a precision instrument.

Yeah Joe, I've got to get a video camera one of these days. He's always cornering some land bound creature out there; alligator snapping turtles, possums, beavers, etc. The other day he was going bananas and he had a water moccasin trapped in the grass. Mr. 9mm took care of the moccasin right quick. Cockers are not known for their brains.

Perhaps Jim. I've hidden all the lighters and matches I can find around the house, but still catch him smoking out behind the shed once in awhile. Somehow he's making fire ............ :dunno: It's hilarious when he goes charging down the hill and the geese spread their wings and puff all up three times his size. He just continues his charge like the old Bear linebacker Dick Butkus did right into the biggest one and the bird goes rolling down the hill. He tried it once with a goose sitting on the pier and the bird lifted off just before impact and poor Gus went off the end of the pier headfirst into the water. He doesn't like the water much. He's like a freaking cartoon.
-
The geese on the lake out back have hatched their young, and their parents are now showing them where to get the good grass vegetables in my back yard. Gus the Cocker Spaniel doesn't like this at all and spends the entire day chasing the bastids from his territory. It's been in the upper 90s here for a few days he's tuckered out big time. I've given up trying to grow grass out there. Fun to watch the endless war though. Got to get some pics of him charging the flock. Entertaining as hell. :D Image Not Found

high-flow, quiet mufflers...suggestions?
HOrnbrod replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sorry I didn't memorize all the mods on your engine. Can understand the problems you have with the droning; I think it's a header thing. On mine, it hit a harmonic resonant frequency from about 55-65 MPH that drove me nuts. It would vibrate the fillings in your teeth. Below or above that range all was golden. I was lucky that my friend had a muffler shop and it took some time and experimentation with several configurations to work it out w/o losing any gain from previous dyno runs. All I can say is what worked for me. Droning and resonance in the exhaust system is a fairly common problem with strokers and is sometimes hard to solve. Good luck......... -

high-flow, quiet mufflers...suggestions?
HOrnbrod replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've screwed around with my exhaust system many times and it took awhile to get it right. The stroker has a Mike Leach header and I tried both the "quiet" Flowmaster (series 44?) and a Dynomax. While the Dynomax was marginally better than the Flowmaster, both had unbearable resonance and droning that drove me crazy. My friend runs a muffler shop and he thought the droning was mostly caused by the combination of the header and the single 2-1/4" exhaust pipe. We ended up using a Walker SoundFX muffler with a single 2.5" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets and running separate 2.5" exhaust pipes out the back. We also replaced the HI-FLO cat with a Cherry Bomb. This did the trick; absolutely no droning and just a slight notch above stock in sound level for normal driving. However, when you get on it at WOT, it barks pretty good, but not obnoxiously loud. The system also made decent gains on the dyno across the entire RPM range.
