:hijack: Talking about trannys, what can bolt into an '86 2.5? Going to do a 4x4 conversion soon hopefully and I have a friend with a bunch of spare trannys and sxles and stuff. So what all can bold straight up to a 2.5 as an auto?

Mine might end up lowered some as well . maybe 2" to 3" and a set of 22's my friend has layin around. But I have another Comanche in mind for my mud adventures :D

Sounds like a plan, gonna have my fiance with me so it will be three of us working on both trucks. Might swap out batt. cables and I like the idea of lowering but I have no tools to do it with

its a 2.5, spd auto...so try to just clean out the IAC?

In the mornings when I first start-up and let the engine warm up for about 5 mins, and I take off, the first time I come to a stop sign or any stop, the engine will start bucking causing the whole truck to shake and most of the time the engine will just stall out. And even after I have been driving it for awhile sometimes when I come to a stop the engine will stall randomly, only with a MUCH less buck, sometimes unnoticeable. Anybody have any ideas? Any help will be appreciated

And I am active Navy in Easley bout to go visit fiance in FL. NAS P-Cola has a fully stocked garage (per words from wolfpackjeeper and my fiance) and she has a full free day there so I am buying parts and getting all work done there. What is the easiest way to get it off and is there anything else I should prob replace while I got that out?
