quick question..

It should that stuff is great :wrench: -
Do you think that a :smart: teacher would get sick of the same question over and over again if he or she knew it would help out a student in need even if the information is available in a text book? Ill be the first to admit that I am still learning and need help often with my comanche, but when I see a post from a new member or maybe someone who has been on here for years that I myself have made a new topic about and got help with I feel privileged to share the information I have learned. lets face it if people used the search for all of there problems there wouldn't be any need for people to post anything anymore. plus the search is kinda hard to figure out sometimes :hmm: :hateputers: I love this club and I love my comanche and am thankful for all the help people are willing to give me. as far as a rant about not geting enough attention :thwak: well I'm going to go drink some bud light and fool around with my truck .....or just sit in it and listen to the radio and get drunk    peace :jump:

3" Suspension Lift Kits?
jeep_freek88 replied to kawaboy13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a 3" RC lift on my truck...... and yes they will mess your order up for sure. the lift I got was for a xj... I know they are like a mirror image, but the aal for the xj is longer than the mj aal and the rear shocks have the mounting pin for the xj jammed into them. when I called them about it they told me that they are the same kits to which I said then why is there a price difference he then said well hold on a second then put me on hold for like 10 minutes. when he finaly came back he informed me that all I need to do is pull the hardware out of the rear shocks and they will be fine.. as for the aal he admitted he sent me the wrong one so he sent me a different one.......... a week later I get it you can hardly call them an aal they look like blocks  don't buy rough country lifts..... I will keep mine on till I get the time to do a SOA lift and bump it to 6"+ also a track bar is required for a 3" lift trust me if you don't replace it you will within a year when you get the death wobble. Also it might be a good idea to replace your break lines with yj lines in the front. -
Do you need an oil change? ...... I know I'm going to get shunned for this, oh well try changing your oil and replacing one quart of oil with lucas heavy duty oil stablizer..... That will get your pressure up for sure  I use 10w-30 fyi

I have no reverse lights.... Well I have the bulbs in the tail lights, but no worky. They have only worked once when then the stopped working the next day it was strange because I didnt do anything is there a plug on the trans or some sensor that could be out? also my turn signals are acting strange... they work but when I turn my headlights on the inst panel says the right one is on constant but when you look it is not on as it should be like the left one running lights???? I hate electical issues any ideas?? thanks guys

yep I have hit it from every angle front corners back corners sides in front and in back tried to get the screw driver in on every avalable side it will not move......I put a dent on it with the rubber hammer thats when I decided to wait till morning that was after 2 hours of pounding..... it isn't damaged to the piont I need a new one yet.......YET. like I said my parts store can get a shiny new one for $93.00 if I fail at removing it without any major damage..... It wouldn't be the worst thing that has happened... however I do plan on wirebrushing and painting the old one so it will look new if I ever get it off :thwak: thanks for all the advise  keep it coming guys

I'm not realy going to cut it  Thanks for the tip...... I already tried the screwdriver thing and if I try it again I'm not going to be gentle with the pan...... I'm going to stop for the night with the oil pan still stuck. Ill try again in the morning.. 1st ill try to be nice and save the pan and my wallet.... then if it won't give I'm pulling out the trusty 32oz ball pean and a monster flat head THE GLOVES ARE OFF OIL PAN I'M COMING FOR YOU!!!!! :hateputers:

Also I was wondering what gear lube to put in the fron differential because I might as well change that fluid out. :???: I was also wondering how important the correct torques on the rear main seal and pan are? Track Bar knocking.....
jeep_freek88 replied to jeep_freek88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't know which one I would recommend, but I know without question that I do NOPT recommend Rusty's. My own was only one of them that I know of failing. One of my NAXJA-NAC friends had the weld nut on a Rusty's bar pop out of the tube, leaving him with effectively no track bar. Hint: You can't steer an XJ or MJ without a functional track bar. Thanks For the tip I'm thinking the IRO one with the tie rod end........and I'm still planning on putting in the 1" spacers in the front would be a total of 4" of lift..... I'm going to mesure the space on the rear and the space on the front to see the difference. Also my rear axle looks like it is off center by that I mean further forward is that normal with an add a leaf? or do I need to tweek something? -
Not only that but a crudly hacked off roof looks tacky..... Oh trust me you will be muddy enough after you get out to get unstuck with those bald tires..... then where are you going to go chill out in the shade to drink your beer after you work your but off digging around in the mud
-
 Wow well I wouldn't chop the top off..... For two reasons #1 Mud rain/Grass slop slinging #2 Its good shade. I would say just take the doors off :wrench: then you can always put them back on if you want.... P.s. lets see a pic of this thing!

Track Bar knocking.....
jeep_freek88 replied to jeep_freek88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
This one looks solid more $ though wonder if it is worth it? i have pretty much decided to put in 1" spacers in the front to level it out. -
I put 3 faulty aftermarket fuel pumps in my mj before I gave up and bought a dealer pump. then it ran great for months.... then all the sudden it died again and like you said no fuel but you can still hear the pump it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail.... pull the vaccume line off there should be no fuel in the vacumme line if there is then the regulator is bad... Good luck hope this helps

Track Bar knocking.....
jeep_freek88 replied to jeep_freek88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thats what I was thinking too Eagle. Which adjustable track bar would you recommend? I do plan on getting an xj and putting the 3" lift on it and doing like a 6" on the mj in the future but that won't be for a while so I need an adjustable track bar that will be good for a 3" lift for now? Do you have any links? Thanks for the help  ill drink a beer and think of you friend P.s. I love the smilie it look just like my MJ -
Ok I know that this has to be on here somewhere already so I did a search and didnt find what I was looking for. Luck for me I know a group of amazing people who can help me.... I installed a 3" roughcountry suspension lift on my mj and didn't replace the track bar. Now it is bad and I was wondering if anyone had any sugjestions on a new one.... Should I get an adjustable/extended one what brand is best ect ect? any links or comments would be great  I guess I'm really asking do I need an adjustable one for such a small lift, or would OE be best? :help:
