thanks guys but i got it dropped and there were no torx up there they were regular and its an ax15 5 speed and surprisingly everything came out nice and easy probably one of the easiest trans drops ive ever done although i think someone else has already been into it but owell made it easier on me lol now i just need to find a new ax15 everything in was destroyed pretty much the oil is like water with alot of broke glass i dug into it and it cut me in like six places i have a post up in the mj progect i thiknk it shows how much metal was in there :wall:

oh ya i like to have just a pinch extra metal than oil lol :doh:

i picked up another comanche with the 3rd,5th,and revers out of it and it always made noise i could not resist to get it even though i had to save it lol so here it is and whats i have gotten done i do although need another ax15 if you got one for sale around IN let me know and if anyone lives in IN and wants to come help let me know lol i plan on lifting it after i get the trans fixed

yup its killed everything in it pretty much trashed almost no teeth on every gear

ya i got another comanche to drive i just picked this one up and the person before me i know does not do maintenance and runs the $%#! out of his vehicles I'm going to start pulling it tomarow i just wahsed all of the packed in bud from inderneath of it but the gears are there its like i can't reach them when i try to put it into the gear if you push really hard on it it will move just enough to hear it grind a bit and its got the ax-15 for sure i checked it all out while i was under there it will be moving into the garage tomarow so any tips or tricks to make it easier to drop it i am well mechanically inclined so this is not my first trans to be dropped i was just wondering so i can be ready for something that might come up

i am looking for a five speed transmission for my 1990 4x4 comanche the one in it has had a rough life and when driving it makes a larg rubbing type noise in it and reverse third and fith no longer work it still drives fine and all and when i put it into 4lo it seems like it moves the gears further away? because i can get to them but i have to push really hard and hold it there to move reverse just cathes the same way and makes a larg clank sound I'm not sure but i belive it the ax-15 not positive though its just a 1990 4x4 shortbed 4.0l if you know whats wrong please help lol and if you got one in indian or ohio i woudl buy it thanks :cheers: here is mmy email aswell atvmaniac91@hotmail.com oh ya and it also even makes a noise when i let out on the clutch in neutral and its running it just makes a large grinding noise kinda

it was the radiator core putting a new raAD IN TODAY

ok i can drive my truck at around 80 mph or so and it runs perfect no problem at all it idles pefect and everything but just the othe rnight i was coming home and when i got home i knew something was wrong it was overheating pretty bad and i didnt know what was wrong i know its not circulating because i have no heat inside the cab and i took my rad off and no holes no leaks checled all lines and replaced the thermostat what i am wanting to know is i can still drive the truck but like 13 miles is the farthest i drove it and it overheats it didnt overheat too bad last time i drove it that far and if i had a cracked head or blown head gasket would it still run perfect like that my oil psi is the exact same at fisrt start up i get about 60 psi and at idle i get 45 and thats how its been ever since i owned the truck its a 2.5L 2wd 86 4 cylinder and there was no water in my oil when i checked or nothing so i have no idea no coolent is leaking and i am just out of answers other than the water pump which i have not replaced on the truck but it boiled over last night into the overflow and I'm pretty sure its an open system when i pulled the thermostat out it had coolent in the motor it all ran out so any ideas or anything i am just a hurry to get them you can call me i don't care lol -765-309-2132 or email me at atvmaniac91@hotmail.com because i don't usually check in on this site but i should I'm not sure how my day will go so just get ahold of me any way you can thanks cody :wall:

well i got the heat to work now its only goin through the defrost though i can't get it through any of my other vents

so i wasted a crapload of time checking my vacume lines for my heater problem it turns out in the passengr side under the dash there is a lever for when you turn your heat knob it willmove it so it was un hooked so i couldnt get the hook back on so i just turned it open and taped it i now have heat but only it comes out of defrost any suggestion on how to fix that plan to work on that tomarow

my heater doesnt work at all and it is just pushing cold air through the defrost can you help me i checjed my canistor and it is fione checked lins under hood around it they are fine i need help its winter i drive my mj everyday to skool :mad:

i need to bleed my brake my pedal goes to the floor and my brake lights don't work util they go to the floor but when the truck is not running then i can pump them and get alot of pressure so i have heard i have to bleed all of my brakes at the same time is this true and can you take me through the steps so i do it right I'm not an idiot ive done it before i just never have on this truck and i havent usually can bleed one ata time so let me know asap please

I'm looking ofr a good and cheap lift for my 86 jeep mj 2.5l 2wd longbed i know your saying why would you put a lift on a 2wd but i just want it to be higher than stock its looks bad siting so low its like a car like an elcamino lol although i love my mj i hate to say that but i need your help in finding me a cheap lift or ideas i am really wanting to buy a used set of coil springs or something I'm not quite sure just help me out pm me if you replyed to this so i know :cheers:

i got mine fixed along with a new dana 44 installed all for under 300 dollars and i have absolutly no death wobble it doesnt even want to try it any more guess i got a good deal :D :USAflag:

you should always just clean the surfaces of the head realy good but never put any sealent on a any headgasket :hateputers: :redX:
