  1. Yeah, all the XJ's I've found have been trashed or the parts are already gone. It's not a gauge, it's just the plastic pieces. No function what so ever, lol. Just for looks.
  2. the part I'm having the biggest trouble finding is the trim piece on the drivers side of the dash that runs all the way across the bottom and runs into the ash tray. My interior is gray, I dunno if there are multiple colors of gray?? Then the plastic piece around the auto shifter and the paper like thing that goes under it. I dunno if any of that makes sense but that the best way i know to explain it. Thanks guys. -Will

Do any of you guys know where I could find any interior pats for the manche?? Junk yards round here have had slim pickin's and when they have stuff I need it's in worse shape than mine is. Just didn't know if any of you guys knew of any websites that had a good selection. Thanks guys.
  4. Hey guys, so it's been awhile since I've been on here, I kinda come and go as my trucks running or the money is available to mess with it, but I have a quick question. When I lifted my truck and helped my dad with his lift on his YJ I had some problems getting the new springs back in using the coil spring compressors. I just rented a set from Autozone, maybe it's the crappy set I had but is there some trick to getting the springs in out out easily? A third of the time I worked on installing the lift I spent on trying to get the new springs back on. This may be a stupid question and there may be no easier way but I figured I'd hit you guys up and see if anyone has any tricks or anything. Thanks. -Will
  5. done. I'm http://mtsu.facebook.com/profile.php?id=38409060
  6. I started thinking (which is pretty dangerous usually) and figured that a lot or at least some of you guys have myspace and facebook's so we should maybe consider starting groups there, if there aren't already some, to let more people know about this group. Just a thought. Does anyone have a myspace or facebook? -Will
  7. Does anyone know where I can get some weatherstripping for around the doors or the windows. I locked my keys out a while back and the cop cracked the crap out of mine trying to get into it to unlock my doors. Thanks guys. -Will
  8. They didn't even make CJ's in 1987, that was the first year of the Wrangler. Just think, with the amount of money he put into that crap, he could have built a pretty sweet and much more capable jeep... but thats just my opinion. -Will
  9. Doubt it. Jeep comes out with all these cool concepts, the public says which ones they like, then they produce the other ones... Look at the Gladiator, everyone liked um and they chose to produce the compass instead...
  10. I thought it'd be cool to see pictures of everyone with their trucks... Maybe a dumb idea but whatever, haha. Here's me and mine before I put my new tires on this mornings. ...couldn't find a good one but here's a start.
  11. Here's a few of me... I'm on the far right. The other two guys are my best friends, we grew up together. Me and Josie Me and my other baby... Me Muddin'... Sorry guys, I got a little carried away... :shake:
  12. Do YJ and TJ flares work?
  13. So, I've heard a few differing things about fender flares. Do the cherokee rear fender flares work on the comanche? I've heard a lot of no's but a couple people told me they work so have you guys used um or what? Thanks. -Will
  14. It's definitely leaking from the rear main seal... dang it. Thats gonna be a pain in the but to fix huh?
  15. but if I go with more backspacing won't I rub on the fenders in the front? This is what has me all confused...
  16. So I know the tire size questions are probably all worn out but I went to look into some tires today because I'm selling my 31's to my dad for his YJ and i was trying to decide what i wanted to get to replace them. The guy at the tire place is a good guy and he's been in the business for years and he swore to me that 32 X 11.5 would fit on the stock rims on my comanche. He said it would be tight in the back but would fit and the front he said would work but would likely rub on the inside but I expected that since my 31's did too. I have the three inch lift, i think about 5 in the front but does anyone know if he's right because I definitely don't want to buy them and it end up being so tight that I can't drive it. I'm sure questions like this have been asked a million times but does anyone have any idea of how that'll work? I read the backspacing thread from like last week but I'm still not sure because with 31 X 10.5's I have about 1.5" off the frame in the rear... Any thoughts, just seems like there is so much difference even between comanches and of course different manufacturers measurements can run a bit differently. . . Thanks, and sorry for the repeat question. -Will
  17. I think I remember when you came down to get that comanche Jeff. I think you sent me a message about it and asked if i knew where that was or something. Glad to hear you got it alright, I guess thats been a while though. My cousins are from Lawrenceburg and still have the accents to prove it, haha.
  18. How many of you guys are from around Tennessee? or even just the south? It seems like there aren't very many of us...
  19. I'll be 21 in september. Wish I was still a teenager though, now all my friends are off fighting or getting married and I'm sitting in my classes bored out of my mind wondering why I keep going...
  20. I was told by someone that you can't just replace the valve cover gasket but that it's part of the cover and you have to replace the whole thing. Is that just a load of crap or what's the deal??
  21. So my truck has had a bit of an oil leak pretty much since i got her but just recently It's gotten pretty bad. I can't tell exactly where it's coming from so does anyone know any tricks to pin pointing where the oil is leaking from? Thanks. -Will
  22. let me know about the time and stuff and I'll try. I'd love to go wheeling with a bunch of you guys. It's pretty doubtful that I'll be able to the 27th though since it's tax free weekend in Tennessee the 27th-29th and they won't let me off work, but keep me posted. -Will

Does anyone know where I can get a new valance panel form my comanche? Is the junkyard the best bet or is there somewhere online that I can find one for chea. Mine is all warped and messed up. Thanks.
  24. So, here in Tennessee we have pretty good conditions for mudding and therefore I partake in such activities quite often... My question is, has anyone discovered a good way to clean the under carriage of their comanche when it has become caked in mud. I've tried many things but none too successfully. Just thought I'd see if you guys had come up with anything. -Will
  25. I didn't believe it to be reasonable but I thought maybe they're worth that for some reason now... I mean, it's brand new I guess but there's such a good chance of me bustin' it to pieces when I'm wheelin that I'd never even consider giving that much for one. Crazy...
