Get something with lots of siping, not mud terrains, and the narrower the better if you're looking to do street driving and need the tires to slice through the snow/slush to get to pavement.
Why not put the cherokee axles in and don't worry about the transfer case or transmission. Likely, the cherokee axles will have 3.55:1 ratio gears which might be a little lower than ideal, but it will certainly work.
I have seen one or two that were custom fab'd online. If there was enough interest, I could probably draw one up and see what it would cost to get manufactured.
