  1. Awesome! I like the rubi wheels better.
  2. Ok so factory didnt do it till 210-220? So I possibly didnt go over that yet? It blew at the upper radator hose where is connects to the radator. The hose and all that is fine but it has one of those crappy clamps that you need pliers for to get undone and it is pretty far back. I need a new clamp for that. I will try a t-stat first but I find it is kind of wierd that it was hot after I went wheeling. I will admit I was pretty hard on my mj. 5K shifts sometimes and pulling out my friends pathfinder (hehe). I don't think a T-stat would just close and not open up at those temps. I installed a tach and next is a temp gauge after I fix this stuff. Thanks, Zack
  3. Ok my truck has been overheating since yesterday. I topped off the coolant and it still overheats. I have a mechanical and electrial fans. I notice when my gauge hits the middle (the gauge has been off since I bought it) I popped the hood and the mechanical fan is running but the electrical fan isn't. I am assuming that is should. Would this cause a overheating issue if it didnt run? I know it ran before so what happened. It didnt start overheating till yesterday when I went mudding with it. I made sure the radiator was clear of mud and ofter stuff. So would that be this issue or what else, like a t-stat or water pump? Maybe a temp sender or sensor or a relay or the whole electrical fan? Thanks, Zack
  4. Ok I wheeled my manche pretty damn hard. After pulling out a Pathfinder several times and the beating the hell out of it through the slop I found it overheated. I found it over heated on the way back to my house that it overheated as I was not looking at the gauge and I did a burnout and the fitting to the radiator to the hose didnt have enough pressure from the clamp and blew out right there. Steam from the coolant was everywhere, enough to make me use the wipers. I am letting it cool down, thank god I was a a quarter of a mile to my house and I just coasted it there after I shut it down. So the question is what do I do after I overheated it that bad, change the oil or what. I still have enough coolant, this is the first time it has happened to me in any vehical I have owned. Thanks a bunch. Zack
  5. Ok thanks guys that was my issue. So I "should" be able to get it out without undoing the motor mounts and just try to pull the pan out? Thanks for the info guys, I love this site.
  6. I read over on NAXJA that you don't need to lift the engine at all to get the oilpan out. Is this true for us also?? Thanks
  7. Awesome, that is what I need. thank you!
  8. What is the size of the piping that goes to the inlet of the muffler on a 4.0 truck. Is it 2 1/4" or 2 1/2"? I just want to swap in a new performance muffler and dump it under the truck. Thanks
  9. Yeah I ran a compression test and the lowest one was 130 so there is not issue there and no smoke. Plus my engine has 101k on it.
  10. I have been having the same issues as you, cleaned out the baffles and replaced my ccv tubing and still have oil in the airfilter. I haven't bothered fixing my seals yet till I get all the blowby fixed first.
  11. Ok I am running out of ideas with my manche. I cleaned out the valve cover and cleaned out the baffles. I have replaced all the CCV tubing and no change in the oil in the airbox. The compression is great and doesn't burn a drop of oil just leaks it out. Is there anything else I should be looking for? I mean are those baffles when I took them out of the valve cover they were both up maybe a quarter of and inch. Maybe not that much but I mean are they suppose to be up like that or are they suppose to sit totally closed. The valvecover was taken off sometime before I owned this truck. What else should I be checking for that was cause this? Thanks.
  12. Looks great. What did you use for paint, single stage or base clear?
  13. Bump. I need to know this too as I am going to pull my valvecover off this weekend and clean it out to see if that helps my blowby issue.
  14. Well there is alittle coolant consumption but I just that has been normal with all my other vehicals I think I have topped it off once since I have had it, not enough to be concerned about. No oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil at all. I mean do I seem about right about atleast starting out with cleaning out the valve cover? I have been going off this article on my oil in the airfilter. http://jeep.off-road.com/jeep/article/a ... ?id=257985 I love this little truck and would hate to get rid of it and don't feel like wheeling and dealing for another vehical for awhile. Thanks.
  15. Ok I took my MJ to the shop today to get my oil leaks fixed, mainly the rear main since I don't have the right tools to do it myself. So I take it in because it has been blowing out about 4 quarts a week. Yeah alot. I drive my truck everywhere and usually put on atleast 400 miles a week. So I take it to the shop and he basically said the rings are shot from all the pressure built up and extreme blowby. I do have the oil in the air filter thing, I did replace all vent tubes for the engine as I heard that is what you should do if you have this. So I did that, didnt really help, so I have been waiting for it to warm up so I can pull the valve cover and clean it out as they say that will help also. I just don't know what I should do as it only has 101K on the 4.0. It runs good, doesnt smoke or anything. I mean I will continue to drive it till I figure something out but I know I need to do something as the whole undercarrage is coated with oil and it gets oil spray on my drivers side bedside, that is how bad it is. I like the truck and was planing on putting on a new exhaust and repainting it this spring but now this throws a wrench into things. I mean it is a nice truck, lived in california its whole life till it came here to nebraska a year ago. I got it back in september too. I just need to way the cost of rebuilding the engine or putting in a used engine to just getting a new car. I would have no issues of putting in a engine but the tranny is getting tired too as it will sometimes grind going into second so I know that is going to wait for me. I also understand it is a 20 year old truck but that is why I like it cause it is easier to work on. Any fixes or thoughts on what I should do cause I just don't know if I want to dump that much money into a truck that in the end needs a paint job as that would suck all my paint job funds so I don't know. Thanks.
  16. Black longbox, pretty damn sexy. 8)
  17. Ok thanks for the help. I will have to think on this some more.
  18. Mine does the same thing when it is first cold then gets better as it warms up. My tranny is getting tired though so I figured it was that.
  19. Hey, I was wondering about getting a new exhaust setup for my manche. Right now it is all stock except the previous owners replaced that cat with a catco on and then replaced the muffler with a stock one. Now my tailpipe is all rotted out so I want to replace that. Anyway I was thinking of just wanting to do a cat-back setup. So I will leave the cat there and run 2.5" pipe all the way back, no muffler. I live loud vehicals.lol Is this not enough back pressure or should I be ok as I do do alot of interstate driving with this thing when I drive it back home some weekends on the interstate going 75-80. She sometimes has trouble getting over 70 if the wind is right so I definatley don't want to lose power. Thanks, this is for my 4.0L 5 speed manche
  20. Very cool twist on things. Keep up the good work. 8)
  21. Awesome! I heart long boxes. Great color combo also.
  22. Mine was a 93 S-10 with a 2.8 V6 5 speed. I did alot of little crap to it and kept it clean but I didnt know much about cars then so I sold it as it was slow and being 2wd, sucked in the winter. I would have kept it knowing what I know now by lowering it and droping in a 350. I sold it to a kid and he trashed it, I saw it 2 years later and happend to have my camera on me, kind of made me sad. I then got a 76 chevy K-10 pickup that I learned my love for bodywork hince why I am in tech school now for it. Then got a 78 C-20 with a built up 350 in it. After that I got a 2000 crown vic police interceptor, had that for awhile and sold that for my manche as I wanted a 5 speed. I also have my 90 Crown vic wagon that I redid in school and it currently getting ready for the 5.0 to be built up and to be bagged which you can see in my avatar. After I get all that done the manche gets lifted. Here my first truck was when I had it. Here it is a couple of years later after that kid screwed it up.
  23. Ok I have been looking and I tested and the chain seems to be on there. I went to check the CAD and the vacuum lines to it. Well I pulled off the lines while running to see if I have vacuum first and if I did I would assume it was the CAD vacuum motor. Well I wasnt pulling any vacuum so I was checking the lines and I found this blue line wasnt plugged in but it didnt go to the vacuum motor. It pulled no vacuum with the engine on. I couldnt see where it plugged into. I think I traced it right and beleve it plugs into the back oh the transfercase. So anyone know what that might be for?? This is the line that is not plugged in. It is located here under my coolant overflow. And you can see I believe it is the blue one that plugs into the back of the T-case here.
  24. Aww so I need to do this too then. I got all new tubing and still get some oil on my airfilter, not to the extent I did before but still get some. The cleaning should fix this as I have heard you need to buy a whole new valvecover.
  25. I know what you are talking about. I am in Nebraska and we had a high of 81 on monday and today it was a high of 40 with a dusting of snow.
