  1. If that is a Scout II axle, it has zero caster. Keep that in mind if you will be keeping this a streetable truck. yes i think this thing is going to shake like crazy. right now my perches are just tacked on. ill have to research the castor...unless someone can tell me now...i have 7.5 coils
  2. not too sure. i havnt looked into it much but from what ive read so far there is a bit of a power difference. some ppl told me that some parts won't swap over from the 350 like the older engines. not 100 on that but when it comes time ill figure it out. i personally don't mind using this one to get the swap done
  3. i feel ya. red with decals was nice. but if u knew me ud see that this truck is me. it gets more attention ever since i bedlined it. its never too late but i like the texture. rough like my face
  4. the guy who sold me the dana 300 was really cool. he called me up and gave me this tbi 305, 400 turbo transmission, 241c tcase, and all wiring for free. all i had was $5 so i gave it to him. might be a while until i get to use it but i plan on it. i kno the 350 is different so we will see where this goes. neveer knew that chevy had a driver drop t case...and when i got the tcase he let me have the BW five speed it was hooked to so i have a few options here lol. my front end should be done hopefully by this weekend. not near as hard as i thought it would be
  5. forgot to post this too
  6. Lmao! Looks like he had them standing up. I've actually been worried about them cracking. That's why I have five on each side and most of them r filled with more cement
  7. Lol. Well, I do stack wheels under there too when I'm wrenching. Took them out for the pick. When I did the rear I had four stands and they were wobbly Cuz of the rocks. My paved driveway is steep. Never said for anyone else to do it. Thanks for caring tho
  8. also have tubing. insted of cutting the perch off the pumpkin, i found tube that will lay beside it. its weird. i know. but the coil mount will be partially over the casted perch on the pumpkin. maybe we will truss over the pumpkin. not sure yet. my buddy is helping me with this.
  9. here's how he is sitting now and i got the axles loaded up to swap brackets and what not this week
  10. couldnt wait to see what the tires will look like
  11. ive been peparing to do a d44 front axle swap from a 75 fullsize IH. my 4.0 is on its way out and i want to do a chevy swap. it came with my d60. i know nobody likes leafs but i think its clean and eazy and i pretty much only do mud. but if someone can point me to a truss or a way to fab one to work that would be awsome. or ill just get yj leafs and do that. opinions welcome
  12. Welp. Flipped the ten bolts and picked up a d60 & d44 with 4:11 gears a few months back. Finally purchased a welder and got to work. Rear is almost mounted. Then I'll do the front and when its all buttoned up I'm going sbc
  13. got more pics of the shackle mount?
  14. thanks for the info. its an 84. ill keep lookin
  15. well that sucks about the international stuff..may see if he will sell the 60 atleast
  16. they guy says its an 80s wagoneer. figured hes jus talkin the ones with four headlights.. ill have to check em out tomorrow to be sure
  17. should i get a set of d44s from an xj waggy or d44/d60 from a 75 international harvester? not familiar with the internationals but i can get these cheaper
  18. i have.55 gears and could spin my 31x10.5 all terrains when i had them. but when i went to 32x11.5 mud claws i lost alot of power. so id say 31s are the biggest u wana go stock -edit: i have a 4.0 auto
  19. i decided not to use the front and the blocks are coming offthe rear. i don't see how the bedliner is destroying it. it has no rust anywhere and itll be a long time until it does. if i want a truck to look like everyone elses, i woulda started with an s10. the only thing i messed up was the bed corners which were bent...everything else is on cherokees everywhere. yes it is 2wd. gota start somewhere
  20. well, I took my truck to southeast Kansas over memorial weekend and slept in it for four days. let my friend drive it up hill thru the trees to the pond...there went a mirror...other friend got his short wide stuck. I drove out to attempt a pull and a wheel sank like quicksand. good thing for an awesome farmer down the road to save the day with his tractor to get us out the next day(we knew it was all bad but we were on that turkey 101 and thought it would be hilarious when my buddys parents came over in the morning to fish. I think they expected it) well, here are a few more pix to make your buttholes pucker :driving:
  21. not that i know anything but my truck shakes at that speed mostly when i let off. thought it was my tires. replaced them. had em balanced. my friend pointed out a clicking noise as i was rolling down a hill with the engine off. its my driveshaft u-joint
  22. Used Rustoleum on the inside of the doors and Duplicoler spray liner in the jams More Herculiner inside the entire cab Pretty hard to see at night Tire rubbage
