  1. You can download a pdf manual from Yahoo Comanche Club. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/jeepcomanche/files/ It's the Ovner Manual for a 1990 mod :)
  2. Removed the bed in order to rust-protect the uniframe and the bed. There was no serious rust attack, only surface rust, but it has to be dealt with, before the rust starts to eat up the frame. The brake tubes are too rusty and have to be replaced. It was a "ton" of mud and sand on top and inside the frame, did HP wash it, and used steel brush wheels on the grinder to remove the rust. Here some working pics.
  3. Did a marathon run with my 'new' MJ last week-end. Was driving from the southern part of Norway to the northern part, where my home place is, I'm working in the south, the distance is 1900 km ( 1200 miles) The Comanche preformed very well during the trip, an average 22 MPG, with GEM top on and loaded with 800lbs. 1.5 hour from home I blew a brake tube in the rear, no big deal, I was able to drive the few miles home, with only one brake circuit. Here’s a picture taken when passing on of the mountains up north, this is exactly on the Artic Circle.
  4. Hi all, 3 weeks ago I bought this Comanche. The MJ's are very rare in Norway, but after searching over a year I was able to get this one, an 87 mod. with 133 000 miles. It is 4WD, 4.0L, AW4 and D44. It’s not bad concerning rust, just minor surface rust here and there, and in fair technical condition. My plans are to modify it when I have time to spare, but right now I will fix all the technical issues and preserve it for further rust attack. Here she is… :)
  5. Eagle, I didn't know if there were any tonneau covers available for the Comanche, but after some google'ing I found these: http://trucktoys4less.com/jeholotoco.html http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/subpages/paceedwards_rolltop.htm http://trucktoys4less.com/dotoco.html

  8. Hi, my first post here, am a fresh owner of a MJ-87, 4.0l, AW4 and D44. I'm looking for a Tonneau cover for my Short Bed. Does anybody know where to buy them, and any recommendations which one to buy?
