  1. Awesome. Thanks. Chris
  2. Anyone know where to find a new shift boot for a 5spd? Chris
  3. I think you forgot the link.
  4. That looks awesome. I'm always afraid to do stuff like that. It seems like every time I do it just creates a new problem.
  5. Yeah mine is an 88. I'll have to check the TPS. I don't think it runs quite right even without the canister hooked up. I know it's running rich because it backfires sometimes. Also the voltage gauge is showing around 16 amps so I need to replace the regulator. I think. Could that be messing the idle? I know someone mentioned something about adjusting the voltage on the TPS. Chris
  6. Before I got the canister it was open.
  7. Mine was cracked all the way through on both sides from above the headlight to corners behind the grille. I used the plastic epoxy to fix it and it seems to have worked fine. I really like that stuff. I've used it to repair motorcycle fairings too. I'm not sure it work though if your adding on to the existing piece. Fiberglass would probably be the better choice. Maybe you could get some plastic of a similar thickness or even metal to make new tabs and just use the fiberglass or the epoxy as an adhesive. Chris
  8. When I got my truck the cansiter that operates the heater vents was missing. So I got one from a guy on here but when I hooked it up it lowered the idle a good bit, and now when I push the clutch in the idle drops to almost zero and sometimes stalls altogether. Then when I fire it back up the idle shoots up to about 2000 and stays there for a few seconds. Anyone have any idea why it would do this? Chris
  9. Jeeperz it looks like for the rear panel it will be around $30 for shipping. That's with DHL. UPS and Parcel post are closer to $40.
  10. I posted an ad for the door panels in the classifieds section. There's a pic of the rear panel I made if anyone want to see it. Here's the link so I'm not posting the same pic twice. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... 8991#68991
  11. Are you serious about the deer? I could look into it if you are. I've never seen deer skin so I'm not sure how workable it is. Chris
  12. I got the panel built, but nobody around here has a box big enough. I ordered some but they won't be here till Monday or Tuesday. I'll get back to you with a shipping price as soon as I get them. Is anyone still interested in the door panels? Chris
  13. Yeah. That's what I preferr. It's cromanyak@yahoo.com If your interior is gray it's probably the same color as mine. Do you want carpet on it like it was from the factory?
  14. Well if you don't have one at all I can still make you one. I can keep the mounting points on the bottom factory, and make new ones for the top. You may just have to drill a few holes. If I can I'll try to figure out a way to aviod you having to drill holes. It's up to you. Let me know.
  15. Woops, yeah that's what I meant to say.
  16. The door handles just pop off. There's no clips or anything. At least that's how mine are.
  17. I'm thinking $125 for the door panels, and $50 for the rear panel. Plus whatever it will cost for shipping. I'm guessing and this is just a rough guess, but I'd say because of the size that shipping on the door panels could be anywhere from $30 to $50. If you guys are still interested I'll need to know colors. If you can send samples of what you want or something close that would be great, and I'll need you to send me all the parts for the door panels including the plastic clips that hold them on if yours are still good. Jeeperz I'll need all the harware off your old panel too if that's possible. I think it's pop riveted on. It took me about 3 full days to make the door panels, but I'm sure I'll be faster the more I do it. thanks for all the feedback too, Chris
  18. The colors in the pics aren't that accurate. The back of the cab panel is actually navy, but for some reason it looks royal in the pics. I wish I would have take pics for a how to article. Next time. I'll have to figure out a price and get back to you. You would need to disassemble your old door panel and send me the plastic piece on the top. Also would you want me to paint the armrest and other pieces to match. It's not necessary. You can do it yourself with the right paint.
  19. So it's too cold to paint my truck now so I decided to restore the interior. So far I've made new door panels from scratch. The original ones got wet and were falling apart. And I've started painting the plastic pieces to match. Let me know what you think. I was consider trying to make more door panels to sell.
  20. What abut the timing? Maybe it somehow got screwed up. On a side I want to thank whoever said that dirty threads on the plugs could cause them not to ground. I did not know that. My brothers girlfriends car has spark but won't fire and a leaky gasket completely covered the plugs in oil. So hopefully that's why I couldn't get it started even though it had spark and fuel.
  21. Does anyone happen to have a pic of one? Or even better dimensions?
  22. Do you know what the part # was?
  23. It's an 88 w/ the 4.0
  24. That canister is gone on mine. There's 2 hoses that run under the battery tray a larger one, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 inch and a small one. Are those the only two that hook to the canister? I guess I'll need to post a want ad in the classifieds.
  25. My heater in my 88 only blows through the defrost vent no matter what you have it set to. Does anyone know why it would do this?
