tkgibbs27 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 is a 5spd tranny with a 4 banger bellhousing able to be converted for the 4.0L?
MiNi Beast Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Meaning if you had the 4.0 bellhousing? I don't think so but someone will chime in with the right answer to be for sure. Try this... http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... ger+tranny

tkgibbs27 Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 well that's a bummer then. i couldn't put in a t-case with the tranny i have now either i suppose?
JeepcoMJ Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 4 cylinder 5 speed is an ax5. i blow them up regularly witha motor that's got similar power outputs...so i have to baby them. I'm trying to find an ax15 for just that reason. you need an ax15, or a peugot ba10/5. someone would be willing to GIVE you their peugot i'm sure. as for t-case, it depends on which tranny you have, and whether or not you have the right input shaft. ...on older ax5's, you need a long input shaft, 21 spline. on newer ones, you still need 21 spline, but a short input shaft would work fine. this widens your choices.
