fatcat0491 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 So far on my list Light bezels 30.00 Header panel 85.00 park/signal lights 27.00 grill 37.00 lights 25.50 ___________ 204.00 Do i need to get fenders aswell? I'm going to look for prices in junkyards as these are ebay prices....
Pete M Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 The lines of the stock fenders won't quite match up to the new header, but they will work. Problem is, that if you get the newer fenders and fender flares, then your fender flares won't match the back ones. :(
fatcat0491 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 well then i know what I'm going to do this summer beside paint the jeep hahaha
fatcat0491 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 So What do you mean the fenders won't line up right? also i can't seem to find very many pics of the 97+ conversion
jeepthing07 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 So What do you mean the fenders won't line up right? also i can't seem to find very many pics of the 97+ conversion 84-96 fenders are squared off on the top and it flows into that years header panel. the 97+ fenders are rounded on top. so if you use old fenders with 97+ panel the square fenders will flow right into the rounded it will work but it looks halfassed. I'm sure you could sand down and fill the 97 panel to have the right lines and blend it in or something. or you could just keep the more badasser looking older front end and save a bunch of time.
DrThunder Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Here is a pic of what it will look like with the old style fenders
fatcat0491 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 Hmmm Maybe i will stick with the old ones Something about it doesn't Fit well with me 208 bucks back into my pocket
Pete M Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Yeah, what they said. It's not that the fender won't line up, it's that the lines of the fender won't match the front header.
fatcat0491 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Posted April 23, 2008 Maybe ill do the conversion next year. painting the bad boy is More important... Does VIP sell dupli-color paint?
