oldjeep
Bike rack for the comanche that Andrew and I have been building. Still need to pick up some more bar for the other 3 wheel traps. There will be one strap per wheel to keep it from bouncing out. It bolts to the top of the bed rails behind the storage box and holds 4 bikes. mvusse
Looks kinda like the one I nailed together out of 2x4 scraps for my F100. Made it to fit perfectly in the bed side to side and 2 screws (wood bed) to keep it from sliding front to back. Don't have most of that truck anymore, and now have a 4 bike rack that fits in a 1.25" receiver with an adapter to fit a 2". $90 at Wally World. Tonedef131
For mine I basically made a big I out of 2x4s so it was a long piece of wood that locked between the front of the bed and the wheel wells. Then I mounted two Thule quick release mounts on it. It works really really well and it was only the cost of the mounts. Another perk is that it is really easy to remove, just lift it out during the off season or if I need the full length of my bed.
oldjeep
Finally got around to finishing it and we mounted it today. Still need to get some wheel straps from Yakima, but the bikes are pretty stable just sitting there.
