Pete M
Through 90 should be compatible with the least amount of effort.

tkgibbs27
how do you take the damn thing out? can you just pop off the front where all the fuses go in or do you have to take the whole thing out along with all the wiring?
87ComancheLB
Looks like you have go pin by pin and remove each one from the block and insert it into the new block or if you need everything including the wiring then you have to remove the whole harness, sounds like a PIA either way. Ty in the engine bay on the fire wall, inbetween the two connecters there's a bolt. I can'tremember the size, but you need a deep socket, a universal pivoting joint and an extension to make your life easy. The two sides (inside and out ) will seperate. Then there's two screws caddycorner to each other that you undo and both sides will pop out. Good luck
tkgibbs27
got it off. it's pretty corroded. now i gotta go to the junk yard to get a different one. i am going to had to redo the wiring on it, but my dad is going to do that for me. so hopefully i will get it all fixed up by the end of the week. just this small deal is exciting for me, i didn't get to do much work on the 86, except some carb work. tkgibbs27
i took a trip to the junk yard today to look for a fuse box. didn't get it because i didn't have cash on me so i was going to go to the bank and head back over there after a bit. when i got home, i went to remove the bench seat again, and i see a whole wiring harness and fuse box already in there. my dad's always one step ahead of me. tkgibbs27
oops. i didn't see this. plus my sisters camera was about an hour drive away and i didn't know where my dads was. we didn't swap the harness we just cut wires to replace the fuse box. he did that, then i had to put the harness back in. wasn't that difficult, it's nice to have an extra pair of hands available.
