As the MJ shares the wiring harness with the XJ, there are a number of switches that fit in those four slots at the base of the instrument panel. Some never even avalible in the MJ. Fog lites, defroster, AW4's power/economy and one other I cannot remember... CW
JeepcoMJ Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 can't remember the rear wiper? :P the one with pink wiresis for the factory cargo light. the one with green is for the factory fog lights. the cargo one is already wired, you're just missing the switch, a bulb for the indicator (the other little sockets in there), and the cargo light itself. the fog light...i'm not sure how far that runs. but if you put a factory switch in and flip the switch, it will light up. I believe it only extends so far as the firewall as the factory fogs had a seperate, relayed harness after that.

I have a couple of them same plugs that aren't being used, and had been wondering the same thing.
88XJSport Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Why does my 88 XJ have the unused wiper harness, like the pic shown, but I don't have the fog/defroster wire harness present??
