I have a 1988 Comanche with the 4.o automatic.

I replaced the AC condenser and heater core and before having the AC recharged I want to replace the dryer or accumulator as RockAuto calls it.

The one I received does not have a electrical connector on it but the one in my truck does.

All the dryer pictures on RockAuto don't have the electrical connector.

Do I need the connector? If so a part number for the correct part would be great.

Also replacing some of the AC lines, what is the one called that goes from the lower port on the condenser to the dryer?

Any help would be much appreciated.

There are a variety of dryers available some with the port and some without. Vintage air or jeep air both carry a simple inline T adapter for your sensor. You just need to verify what the thread size is. The lower condenser-to-dryer hose is a high pressure line. Possibly called the “discharge” line.

A number of those driers have a port where you screw in the pressure switch.  Look for a plastic plug in the one you got.  Usually up by the top.  You will need to put something in that hole one way or another.

On RockAuto's website, under Electrical-Switch & Relay, there is an A/C Refrigerant Pressure Switch.  They're pretty cheap.
