possible new source for oem CPS

i don't know if this has been shared, but where the crank position sensor (cps) is obsolete from Mopar, i got thinking about renault. 

i searched up renix cps and this guy popped up. i ordered it and its the same CPS. ill have to test it on my machine, but its from a 2.5l volvo the ebay title is below.  Cast into the top of the cps is "renix" I believe there are renault cps & volvo cps that can be found.

even this one would work, i believe, and you can still buy these directly from renault. they are not expensive.

Some of the Renix or Fenix probably made it to Volvo cars. I’m not surprised that such has been found but given how often you don’t see Volvo cars around, it’s probably why no one thought to check their parts.

I saw a post in a Facebook forum once where someone was claiming that this style would work. I don't remember if it was ever proven though.

I don't see why it wouldn't, right? The CPS itself is a pretty simple sensor
