MississippiComanche
I did a 3 inch lift and noticed that the rear rubber brake hose is dry-rotted and cracking. I think it may be letting in some air because my brakes got soft and spongy after performing the lift. What brake line do I need to order for this? 89 MJ
At 3”, I don’t think you should need a new rubber brake line. Just a stock replacement should do. Is yours stretched tight or something?
Gjeep
RockAuto had one left (not Mopar) couple months ago in clearance.
Htchevyii
Do you still have the factory brake valve in the rear? It cuts pressure to the rear brakes when the rear rises during a stop, so lifting the rear with it in place cuts brake pressure. In the early days, I just removed the rod and turned the adjuster to a good position. Now it's bypassed completely. Id recommend jacking up by the "frame" to check the hose length. I put an add a leaf on my XJ's saggy rear springs and it was stretched tight when the rear dropped. You can also sometimes relocate the bracket where it mounts to allow more droop.
