dunl
I have an 88 long box Comanche, and found a free roll bar from an 88 dodge dakota....looks like this: Will it fit my truck? Or can it be modded easily to fit?
JeepcoMJ
it's free either way, so grab it. it can be modded easy. I'd be surprised if it won't fit well with no mods
dunl
Cool....consider it grabbed in the next week or so. :)
jtdesigns
Hey if it does fit you should get it powder coated. That thing is rusty... But would look pretty good if powered..

Badger
thats a show bar and will not really help if you truly did roll over.
JeepcoMJ
thats a show bar and will not really help if you truly did roll over. NO "roll bar" will help if you truly roll over, unless it hasmounts below the bed that go to the frame. but, as stated, it's a bit less strong than others...it's a bolt-together one, so making it a bit narrower won't be a big deal anyways. Ya exactly that makes it a "show bar" because its there for show not for go.....
dunl
That's okay.....I prefer to keep my rigs shiny-side up anyways.
702_MJ
well all you would have to do is tie it into the frame some how, make a braket and weld it or bolt it to the frame, your choice. But if its wider just cut like i don't know how many inches out of it in the center and weld it back together with some bracing, then send her off to poweder coat. I'm gonna look for a dakota bar for my truck now since they will fit i guess.
