Driveshaft replacement

Hi everyone. I'm new here but I'm hoping someone might be able to help. I'm working on getting my dad's Comanche restored so it can continue to be in the family for a long time to come. Long story short, the drive shaft was stolen. 

 

It's an 87 Comanche, 2WD, manual 5 speed, 4 cylinder, short bed.  I've looked and looked and can't find an exact replacement. 

 

Is there another drive shaft that would work (say from a Cherokee)? Any thoughts?

 

I can't even get one made because I don't have the specs for it and it sounds really expensive too. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not to bad to have one built. Simple tape measure to get specs. Pig yoke to tcase shaft. You can get yokes from a old xj drive shaft and have it retubed for your mj. But maybe in luck to find someone on board here to have one available though.
