Ghost89 Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 I have a troubleshooting question that perhaps you can assist with. The 4.0 engine in my 1989 MJ has been experiencing performance issues lately. Once the engine warms up, it begins to sound like it's losing power around 2,000 RPMs. I initially suspected the TPS or ignition coil, so I replaced both yesterday. However, the problem persists.

It sounded to me like an an ignition issue as the power loss sounds like the engine is cutting in and out. IMG_1638.mov
