Voltage to the ECU from one TPS goes up as the throttle opens and the voltage goes down on the other as the throttle opens.

In which system does the voltage go up as the throttle opens, renix or HO?

Why?

At rest, Renix reads about .83 volts and the voltage climbs as the throttle is opened.

The TRANS side of the TPS works opposite, like an HO. Is that what they spliced into?

My truck is a manual, so it doesn't have a trans plug. Do you mean that maybe they cut that off and wire the HO TPS to it?

In the photo, looking down on the TPS connector, is it labeled as the following:

C

B

A

or

How did you connect your DVOM? Which connector letters or could be numbers?

The wires that the HO TPS are tied into are Renix engine TPS wires. That ain't gonna work.

Now I'm wondering something. What if a guy tapped the correct Renix Trans TPS plug into the correct wires for the HO engine TPS?

Black to b, and red to a for reference and red to c to get the percentage

HO TPS pinout at the connector should be:

A - Ground

B - TPS Signal (percentage)

C - 5vdc Reference
