Thats one less thing that it can be then.Have you actually tried to drive it yet?

No. I'm going to reinstall the old TPS this weekend and then I'll try it.

Replaced "new" cps with old cps and it runs much, much better. However, now it idles like $#!&.

The towel is officially thrown in! I'm done. Getting to towed Monday to find out whether I will be fixing or selling. I love this little truck I just don't think I can afford to take it to garages for constant major repairs. Thanks for everyone's input. These past several weeks have been a real pisser. :furious3:

Any luck yet?

Picking it up tomorrow. Had some additional vacuum leaks and got a new belt for the squeak. Jeff at SRS Auto says it runs good although a vibration can be felt in the cab during idle. He couldn't figure that out. Could just be age.

Ive seen 4.0 engine and trans mounts so bad that the hanger for the exhaust is touching the crossmember. If theyre bad just use regular rubber mounts. If you don't want vibrations then above all else don't use the brown dog urethane mounts.I put a set on my old 88 mj and i couldnt stand it.Ive had solid mounts in race cars that didnt vibrate that bad.

Lost track of this thread.  The vibration in not audible, like a clanking, you feel it through the steering wheel and overall cab. Only at idle. Otherwise, it's running good.
