Blazer25l0
Ok so got a 88 2wd comanche it is lifted. Not sure of the lift height but it's running 33" tires. Been rebuilding the comanche for about a year now. All the joints on the tie rod and drag link are no good. Are the steering components from the xjs interchangeable. Will 4wd linkage work on the 2wd. I'd really to to buy beefier linkage. Do any companies make and sell upgrade linkage for 2wd comanches. What are my options. Not sure what's interchangeable. AZJeff
All the steering linkage from a 2WD is the same as 4WD. Also, XJ linkage parts are interchangeable with MJ pieces.
jpnjake
Yes 2wd and 4wd,MJ/XJ are the same, ZJ tie rods are solid steel where the XJ’s are hollow I know the WJ’s have larger steering components, but you would need to swap to wj knuckles. Long story short all the 2wd axles are just dana30 ft’s without a pumpkin

As was said, all MJ, XJ, ZJ, and TJ steerring components will interchange. ZJ steering gear box will also swap, and would give fewer turns lock to lock.
