Recently bought this 89. It's a 2wd 2.5l 5 speed swb. I have a 96 XJ 4x4 4.0l 5 speed with a bad subframe that I will be using as a donor. I have some pretty wild ideas so stay tuned 😂 also any tips or tricks yall got to do the swap would be greatly appreciated!

Current Progress

Wiring harness has been pulled

Steering column removed

Dash removed

Engine and Trans almost ready to be pulled

I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you may have on the swap. 96’s are a happy medium between HO Cherokees and the 97+. They have a attributes of both styles. If there’s anything I can do to help you out, don’t hesitate!
