Mobius1
I had someone offer to give me a rollbar from their S10 for $75 bucks, but they don't have a picture to show me does anyone think it would work, and how would I install it? (i.e. screw it in or weld it?)
CEThomas
A lot of the stuff in Rangers and s-10 are thinwall and more show bar then roll bar. So you can just bolt it in. If it's a true roll bar will need to tie it into the frame and you can weld or bolt. Bolt being the better way to go.
Pete M
If it's just a factory or aftermarket "light" bar it won't do much to save your neck, so I say just bolt it down to the bed.
Mobius1
yeah, I'm sorry its more going to be for the lights and whatnot, not for a roll cage... but i havent actualy seen the thing so I'm not sure how heavy duty it is or anything
MJ'87
it sits about 3/4 to an inch below the cab, but the lights peek over nicely its just bolted to the bed. i used washers as shims to clear the bed lines
aemsee
Depending on the year it may be even lower than that. My MJ came with an S10 bar and had 2 1/2 inch plastic ( :D ) spacers to make it level with the roof.
