thousender
Hi guys, I've been tryna find a decent set of used aluminum wheels for a while now. I wanted some with minimal offset so they'd fit inside my fenders when flexed out. I finally found a set off a Ranger that seem right but was wondering if anybody's tried them before. I don't wanna do any cutting and would rather leave my flares on. Thanks
Pete M
what lift and tire size are you running?
thousender
3" lift in the front, on 31×10.50" tires
Pete M
ford rims have less backspacing so they miiiiiight put the tires into the flares a bit. probably not to bad though. you can use aluminum rims from MJ/XJ/ZJ/YJ/TJ/KJ jeeps of you want to expand your search a bit. Eagle
I believe the Ford rims also have a smaller center hole and won't seat properly on Jeep hubs. Not certain of that, but that's what I remember.
OldSch88L
Eagle is right. I have those Level II Alcoas on my '98 Ranger and tried putting them on my Comanche, and it's a no-go. The center bore is a bit too small. You might get away with spacers or some carefull machining. Also keep in mind they are 7" wide versus 8" like some Jeep wheels; making 31s look like balloon tires with bulged sidewalls compared to a squared-off look on a 8 incher.
