Windshield Sun Shade: Do any fit right?

Since the Chief will be sitting outside a lot over the coming weeks, we wanted to get a windshield sun shade to help protect the interior from the evening sun.

Sun shades cost from $6.00 at Walmart to $60.00 at Morris4x4. There's universal fit, "custom" fit and you can even have them printed with your image.

Here's the problem- universal fit is too long (top to bottom) for a MJ and requires cutting which turns into a mess. So called custom fit are just made smaller that normal and have terrible reviews.

What sun shade are you using? Know the manufacture or place of purchase? Did you just make your own? I would like to hear what options are out there for the MJ's.

I love and swear by the universal shiney air bubbles type. Bought one at Wally world for $5. :L: found one with flower print on side of road and picked up and still use it today. Both fit width good but are a bit tall so fold it down to future and open the visors to hold against the top. I have come to love the cooling it provides in the summer by at least 20* minimum. And if wasn't for these cheap and convenient addition to any Jeep Comanche, I would not have survived the hot Arizona sun not having any a/c at all. Nor the UP winter's where these also help with keeping warm cab air in and cold air out when you have to spend a overnight in the cramp cab of the MJ. I like the bench but way better with at least one door off to stretch the legs out. :teehee:

Pick up your flavor and don't give it a second thought. Perfect way to protect dash from the hot sun for sure. :L:

This one is a perfect fit and Jeep use to sell as accessory 97+ with Jeep logo. Hard shade, perfect fit. https://www.quadratec.com/products/74181_800.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQjw06OTBhC_ARIsAAU1yOVARe2Pn-9VVgm3lJsClC_Pi0aPtYcuci-dJcwVepaZcg7WIgG12QoaAiMGEALw_wcB

I came across that one the other day.

I'm kinda like @Eagle and can't see spending that amount for a shade. Having one that fits correctly, and quickly, would be worth more than the cheap one's that are designed for steep angled tall windshields.

When 'G' starts driving the Chief, he'll need to pop one up at school / work, and it's currently facing west while we're working on it outside. I've got a @MiNi Beastversion (lol) in there now. I may see how aggravating it would be to trim it down for a better fit.
