I am looking to buy some all weather floor mats for my base 2.5l and have a few questions. Has any body owned a pair of quadratec/rugged ridge floor mats. They make a pair for Cherokees that look like they would work... but I'm not sure. So far the only comanche specific floor mats I can find are carpet which would not work for british columbia. On my truck, the floors are a rubbery material so I'm thinking I'll have to cut off the knobs and use velcro. I don't know if this works, has anybody tried? Also, I'm just curious to see what people are using so pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Funny you should ask. I have the rugged ridge ones and they don’t fit the floor well due to the extra floor brace running up the center. The weathertech, quadratec and RR all have the same “liner” style design that, although it fits the general shape of the floor, doesn’t contour like it should. I just picked up some Husky 51082 liners. They are the closest to oem Mopar slush mats I have ever seen aside from the actual “Jeep” logo. These mats come in (3) colors and the part numbers are 51081, 51082, and 51083.

Because they don’t have the “liner” lip, they can contour to the floor just like oem much better and are true slush mats. That’s the best thing I’ve personally found so far.

Hey thanks ghetdjc320! Thats a big help. If its not to much trouble, would be able to send me a picture so I can see how well they fit.

Cheers:beerbang:

Sure thing, but I won’t be back home until early July.

No worries then. I ordered them last night off amazon. If I don't like em, I can just return them. Thanks for the help.

Awesome, upload pics once you get them in and I’ll do the same when I get back. It’s great to have them posted for future reference

Those are very similar to the dealership option all-weather mats, but better. The official ones end just to the left of where the clutch pedal would be.

My dad actually has a set of original mopar mats for his 96 ZJ and they are the exact same shape except, like you said, there is a cutout where the clutch pedal would go. This is so the floor mats will work with manual and auto configurations. On the automatic ZJ's there's a small foot rest where the clutch pedal would be hence the need for a cutout. If you look at the drivers side floor mat above, you can see a a cutout line for that little foot rest.
