Southpaw Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 do i need to pull motor with tranny .. what are the star drive looking things on top of bellhousing . yes this is my first attempt at a truck rebuild
87MJTIM Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 The star bolts at the top of the transmission bell housing take an E12 socket. It’s a reverse torx bit. As for pulling the engine and transmission, what are doing with your truck?
ghetdjc320 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 I prefer pulling the engine with tranny together and installing it together also. With the radiator support removed it is an easy pull
