Paint removal from fender flairs

 Trying to remove the paint from my fender flares. I just painted my 88.  Someone painted over them some time ago. It's flaking off. Any product good for this? I'm trying to restore the truck.

I just did this and sanded mine, but your best option is a weak paint remover/thinner and rag. 
 

I had to do a lot of sanding and to get a good finish that would take paint and not just soak it up.

That's what I was wondering if a weak paint thinner would be okay. Just didn't want to damage them.

I used a good pressure washer in my old ones. Worked fine
