feerocknok
Also keep in mind that when you install a 3" lift, you normally get 4-5, and when you install a 5.5 you get somewhere around 7-8" Patrick What do you mean by this?
DirtyComanche
Lifts never really give advertised height. Brand new coils/leafs tend to have a couple more inches in them than advertised. Sometimes they'll settle down, sometimes they won't. The only thing that will actually give you exactly advertised lift is spacers/blocks. That and if you lighten up your rig, or weigh it down, things will change. And you have to factor in that your stock springs might have already been sagged, or in the case of the 2wd vehicles, not as tall.
pingpong
I have been running Rusty's 6.5 coils for over 2 yrs now, and I bought them used, and after adding a winch bumper, and a winch, I am still sitting at over 7". Normally rear springs are worse unless you get custom ones. I have seen RE's 4" rears springs give a guy almost 8"s. It was so missed matched that he wnet out and bout 6" front springs and a 1" coil spacer, and he stilled had a lil of the hotrod fron lean.
