scaleless
I ordered 6 "OEM Bosch" remanufactured injectors recently. I got 5x of them from a reputable injector source, but they didn't have 6 in stock so I turned to an ebay seller who claimed to have original Bosch remanufactured injectors for sale at an original remanufactured Bosch price. The listing picture looked like the other 5, but when it came in... One of these things is not like the others! It definitely looks worn, as if it was installed on a car, but the fact that it looks significantly different has me concerned. It certainly says 746 on it, but is it an original Bosch injector? If anyone knows how to identify authentic injectors, help would be appreciated.

scaleless
Ah, yes, thank you Kjell! Seeing the injectors laid out like that is very helpful. You definitely can't find that many Volvo parts here in the States, haha! It appears from the site that, with a few exceptions, the style with a metal tip is listed in cars up to '97 and 98+ has the plastic tip. I would be willing to bet they're both Bosch (since all 6 of mine have a very small stamped Bosch logo) but they refined the design at some point, perhaps to save cost. WahooSteeler
Potentially the biggest issue you may end up having is that they were not flow tested together as a matched set. The oddball one may have enough of a different flow rate that it could cause a rough running engine. Maybe not, but very possible.........
scaleless
That was something I already considered. I planned on rigging up a test bench with an extra fuel rail I have and I'll see if the different one is an outlier.
