WahooSteeler Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Ok, first time i've ever removed door panels. what's the trick to disconnecting the door handle and lock switch? some fragile looking plastic parts in there so i don't want to force anything. thanks for any help!
Pete M Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 They simply twist sideways 90* and then you can pull the bar free from the plastic clip. It might take a second to get the first one, but once you get it it's easy. :D
WahooSteeler Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Thanks Pete. If I remember from last night, they almost have a little turn-buckle on them.
cromanyak Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 The door handles just pop off. There's no clips or anything. At least that's how mine are.

Jeepinmanch Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Grab on to that window crank with vicegrip pliers and yank it straight out of the door! :wrench:
WahooSteeler Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 no window crank involved, my Comanchillac has pwr windows! 8) just the rod connectors for the door lock latch and door handle, should have time to go at it tonight.
