Roberts88-87
So I’m having issues with my 87 Chief, 2.5 manual. The headlights and running lights will not come on. That includes the dash lights. I’m getting power to my switch and at the fuse but no lights. Followed the ground back to the ac blower. It works fine so I think the ground is fine. Even after I jumped the fusible link, no lights. Could a fired ecm cause the head lights not to work? It’ll start and run fine, just no lights I don’t get it. Tomorrow I’ll be pulling the harness back out and tracing wires back to the ecm. Are there anymore links other than the ones behind the battery? Thanks for any help!

jdog
Are you sure the lights are good? How about the sockets? Bad switch, you say you have power to it but what about out of it
scaleless
You can test the switch for continuity or bypass it on the harness side to test as follows. Be careful, though, and use appropriate guage wire for the load if you bypass it! If you've got power at the switch but not at the lights, I'd bet on the switch 99% of the time.
